Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Pigeon Messengr in my organization to stay in contact with co-workers, remain up to date on important information, and communicate with the management team. This platform is also essential because my job is WFH, so it is utilized like a time clock for notifying everyone when I am working. Pigeon Messengr helps my organization be efficient while enjoying our work.

Pros and Cons

Silent but visible alerts when notifications come through.
Tagging specific people to alert them.
The search function is fantastic.

Sometimes a message will get broken up and I am unable to view it all at once.
It would be nice if it had a way to select a message as being unread. I like to leave messages unread as reminders but sometimes need to just read them first.
It won't allow me to upload a picture because it has to be of a very small size. Would be more personal if I could use a picture on my profile.

Most Important Features

Tagging feature - alerts an individual (useful when a reply is necessary)
Search feature - helpful for finding information faster
Direct message feature - good for personal communication and not clogging up the main feed

Return on Investment

Knowledge of the numbers is above my pay grade, but I think ROI is positive.
Super helpful for staying in communication with my team.
All of the information shared is important for being productive.

Alternatives Considered

Slack

These platforms are very similar but I like Pigeon better. I have a few years of experience using Slack from another job and only one year of experience using Piegon Messengr, yet it has already proven to be more worthwhile to use. Pigeon's features are more diverse and they function better.

Overall, this platform is great! Pigeon Messengr is well suited for communicating within your team at all hours of the day. It does a fine job of including everyone to help with staying on task. It is also quite fun to use the reaction feature. I definitely recommend this to any company of small or medium size. However, I feel that Pigeon Messengr is probably less appropriate for larger organizations because it could easily get overwhelming to use.
