Overall Satisfaction with PowerDMS

PowerDMS was selected by our quality control team. As a leader in higher education, we were also looking for an application that would allow for efficiencies in the training of our Provider workflows. We have found this in PowerDMS and recommend the application!

Pros

  • Allows for the creation of courses
  • Allows for Course Completion Certificates
  • Allows for the embedding of videos to enhance training session

Cons

  • Allow for users to be assigned to multiple groups for training sessions
  • Extend the length of videos that can be embedded
  • Convert videos or allow for additional file extensions for videos
  • I do not calculate ROI or KPIs so can not offer feedback in this particular area.
I have only used Word, or Camtasia Relay to create workflow training sessions. Power DMS, is far superior in the fact that is allows for one location for all training materials and I can assign users to the courses, and provide them with certificates of completion that track the workflows they have been trained on.
It works well for training our providers on specific workflows. It could be improved upon by enhancing the initial options for submitting training requests by focusing more on supervisor driven type of requests vs. individual user requests. Currently we do not allow our users to submit training requests, this is all initiated by the supervisor.
