Overall Satisfaction with Prophix
We have just finished with our implementation of Prophix. As we continued through our model development, the seemingly limitless potential of Prophix was astonishing as compared to our previous budgeting software. To 'reframe the usual', we incorporated our entire job cost module including metrics for analysis. This allows both a macro view of our financial data and enhances the analytics by including visibility at a granular level.
- Due to the complexity of our model, the OLAP functionality allows me to slice and dice the data as needed.
- The implementation process and team were phenomenal to work with. It was an on-site collaborative effort in which our specific needs were recognized, then strategized and ultimately developed into our model exactly as we requested.
- The reporting functionality and flexibility in Prophix is far superior to our main ERP.
- At this time, there are not enough hours in the day to fully explore using this application to its full extent.
- The ability to produce and publish budgetary reports to management in a timely fashion has helped.
- The DPM model allows us to build and budget out our HR cost projection at a very granular level to increase the accuracy and quality of our forecasting and budgeting.
- It will reduce the time spent on preparing consolidated financial statements, leaving more time for in-depth reporting.
Prophix connects directly through SQL to our ERP on a nightly basis in which several automatic updates are scheduled through process manager. Our dashboards and report templates have been designed specifically to drive advanced analytic behavior. The ability to have accurate, on-demand data is immeasurable at both a macro and micro level.
The deployment of Prophix was never considered to be an on-premise option. As with all of our existing software, cloud technology is preferred. But the level of availability that cloud-based products offer is immeasurable. As a controller, my initial resistance for moving to the cloud was rigid and unwavering. The security was at my utmost concern. However, after endless research, studies indicate that there is not an increased risk level with cloud products. The likelihood of a data breach for data stored on-site is equal to a cloud-based breach. We were lucky enough to have the BEST implementation guru at Prophix help us map out, strategize & integrate our massive and ambitious build on the front end, including all of our custom-built solutions.
- Adaptive Insights and a Workday company
Night = Adaptive; Day = Prophix
Our experience/implementation/support/customer service of one software versus the other could not have been more radically different. When shopping for budgeting software several years ago (pre-Prophix), I chose Adaptive due to a lower price point (which does not prove out in the long run) and for the reason that it would adequately perform the functions needed at the time. At the outset, our implementation was delayed 3 months due to a backlog. I thought that was not our problem, go hire the personnel needed to implement your software for your client base. The rest was downhill and I'd much rather not go down that particular memory lane. The fact that I supported the implementation of Adaptive with my organization was an embarrassment. The cloak of invisibility & inaccessibility was abhorred and completely unacceptable.
Take the above & reverse it. That's Prophix.
