Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense
Qlik Sense is used in 3 separate departments across the organization. It is typically used when it is required to collect, combine and visualize data from multiple systems.
- Can import data from a very wide range of sources
- Very flexible data modelling
- Scripting is more powerful than point-and-click, drag-and-drop modelling, although it offers both methods
- Set analysis offers extremely powerful data selection
- Date handling could be easier
- N-period accumulation analysis could be improved
- Scheduled report generation difficult without expensive additional software
- Being "self-service" means a little training enables analysts create their own apps without spending money on external conultants
- With Nprinting addon automated reporting saves a lot of work
Against Power BI, I feel Qlik Sense is both easier to use and has much more powerful features. The script editor in Qlik Sense allows me with few lines of code to perform transformations that takes a lot of clicks in Power BI's Query Editor. The visualizations are also more easy to configure.
