Qlik Sense Enterprise

Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense

Currently Qlik Sense based digital analytics solutions are being used at my company for various persona-specific requirements for real-time on-the-go insights. This is a top-driven initative and most of the reviews across departments are currently happening with Qlik Sense based solutions, even at MD level. It is used across our line of businesses in various functional roles of finance, delivery and HR.

The biggest problem in the enterprise was the cycle time of development for any new requirement for insights, and possibility for the end user to interact with the dashboard to make certain analytical decisions. With Qlik Sense dashboards, we have solved both of the issues. As we already had the central data warehouse, any new analytics requirement now only takes 2-3 weeks instead of a 2-3 month cycle time. The interactive nature of the dashboard makes it more handy during reviews compared with a static dashboard.
  • Good UI for dashboard creation as power user.
  • Tight integration with multiple data sources.
  • Good performance.
  • Easy to comprehend for end user.
  • NLP is an area where it can improve. If user query is in text format, it should be able to comprehend itself instead of the user doing the slicing and dicing himself.
  • Support in India as it is a faster moving tool in the Indian economy. Support is not expanding that fast.
  • Higher analytics integration with open source data analytics platforms.
  • Faster decision analytics for business reviews.
  • Reduction in analytics team as more reports and dashboard are made available with smaller team.
  • Compliance improvement as data is available readily for review in 'Zero touch' philosophy.
Qlik Sense has wonderful deployment and execution capabilities. We had run our 3-4 user cases on all the platforms and evaluated based on ease of dashboard development and deployment, and the end-user feedback on UI, and ease of usage. We have given equal weight to end-user experience and feedback as this is critical for user adoption success.
Where we have data warehouses already established, Qlik Sense deployment works very smoothly. If management is responsive to using analytics and IT tools for their business review, any tool is as good as it is adopted. We have used Qlik Sense for structured data only. For big data problems, it does have some limitations, so better evaluate in more detail before deciding.
