Overall Satisfaction with Sage 300 ERP
Sage 300 is used by the accounting department for all facets: AP, AR, and GL. We also use the document management system, as we're paperless. The user permissions take care of our employee checks and balances, making sure to eliminate the possibility of fraud.
- User-permissions and restrictions by role or individual.
- 3rd-party add-ons for document management or purchase order systems.
- The availability to alter/add fields in various menus.
- The user interface is not very exciting, and kind of plain.
- Some canned reports are lacking. We have had to have a few custom ones built.
- We've had this system since the early 2000's and have been happy enough not to change it, due to the good ROI.
Sage 300 was selected before I came to this company, these are others I've previously used or evaluated. I'm happy overall with Sage 300, as it does what it needs to, even if it's not super fancy. The functionality is as robust as you need it to be; it's scalable.
