Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Currently, Intacct is used for accounting across our organization. Most of our users are on the Finance Team. We also have users on the leadership and senior leadership team. It addresses the problem of grant-tracking. It also helps us to allocate revenue and expenses at a more granular level. It helps us with sharing reports with stakeholders.
  • Sage Intacct has a really nice UX.
  • Sage Intacct allows you to track expenses and revenue to a granular level.
  • Sage should have more out of box reports.
  • Reports should be more user-friendly.
  • Positive ROI: Understanding our expenses more and how they relate to our customers.
Intacct has more customization than QuickBooks. Reports were better in QuickBooks. QuickBooks integrated with our bank and made reconciliations much, much easier.
Intacct is well suited to sending out reports. It's also well suited to sending out invoices from the system. It's less appropriate for getting new users in. I find the inventory module to be difficult to use. Sage integrates with expense management software, Expensify, incredibly well. It brings detailed information.

COVID-19 Updates & Changes

Getting the integration between Intacct and Expensify set up wasn't easy and there was no support from either party. After the integration is up, everything works well.
We implemented bill.com which integrates with Intacct during COVID-19. This helped strengthen our processes as we transitioned to WFH.
Having dimensions also helped us to easily track funding we received through PPP. We quickly created a new project and have been sending weekly reports during the loan period to track whether we were on track to spend the funds within eight-weeks.
