Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct for all of my Organization's accounting needs. It is used on a daily basis by all members of the accounting department to record all of our Organization's transactions. We use the software a lot to generate financial reports for our Board members as well as third-party users.
  • Recording cash receipts
  • Journal entry module is relatively easy to use
  • Payroll data imports are helpful
  • Budget import feature saves a lot of time
  • Report writing features could be improved to make reports easier to generate
  • Bank reconciliations should show debits and credits for the activity. Currently, all transactions are positive numbers
  • Bank reconciliations should be able to be downloaded to excel
  • AP and AR reports should tie to the trial balance and if they don't, there should be a reconciliation schedule showing the differences
  • The reporting features have caused some issues when generating reports for third parties.
  • Some of the data import spreadsheets can be difficult to upload. The error reports can be cryptic and confusing.
  • The tutorial videos are not very helpful for new users
Our Organization has used these features and they can be very helpful if things are working. However, when things do go wrong, it can be difficult to get to the issue at hand. I think it more helpful user guide would help alleviate some of these issues. As of right now, the tutorial videos are not very helpful for new users as they are a little advanced and very specific.
I have not used any of these modules. Our company doesn't need these functions.
This system was quite difficult to figure out how to use. The modules aren't necessarily the easiest to follow. Some of the quarterly updates have added some helpful features. I would like to have a more helpful initial start-up course that would be offered to new users. This might help solve a lot of problems.

QuickBooks Online seemed to have better reporting features and the reports would always tie back to the trial balance. If things were out of synch, then Quickbooks would let you know what was going on. This is something that is lacking with Sage Intacct.
Overall, Sage Intacct is a good product but there is room for improvement. Certain reports do not always tie back to the trial balance and it would be helpful if there was an easier way to identify the reconciling items. In addition, the bank reconciliations can be a little difficult since the data cannot be exported to excel. Also, more informative basic videos would be helpful.
