We have used different SAP HANA deployments in our testing environment:
Native SAP HANA:
In this deployment, we have developed a SQL Data Warehouse solution in SAP HANA, showing the benefit of using SAP HANA as a SQL Data Warehouse solution, if a department has not many SAP source systems as well as previous SQL skills from another vendor.
SAP BW/4HANA resp. SAP BW on HANA:
In this deployment, we have developed our Data Warehouse solution in our BW system, showing the benefit of using SAP HANA as a database for BW systems, if a department has mainly SAP source systems as well as SAP knowledge.
Native SAP HANA:

We have also used SAP Analytics Cloud as front-end technology in combination with SAP HANA. Our experience is that connecting both systems is simple and quickly done. We experienced fast illustration of our SAP HANA backend data in SAP Analytics Cloud and we can fully recommend to use both products together.
