Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud
Scope : Finance Business Processes
I'm a Cloud Finance SME and the main problems we are facing is the tax reporting capabilities within Cloud. We don't have complete LATAM localizations yet and we need to develop this using external partners specialized in Tax reporting. SAP only focuses on Federal Tax Solutions per Country but doesn't focus on Provincial requirements.
Another problem we focused is that we have not been able in the Cloud to have an E2E Refurbishment Process ( when a material has to be repaired from a maintenance process)
Finally we struggled in Fixed assets to enable additional depreciation areas and Asset classes it was not allowed. from a GL perspective we could not adopt the YCOA Chart of Account and we had to invest a lot of time transforming the COA into the desired GL's - this was easier in S4 On Prem where you could create more Chart of Accounts.

- Fiori Front End is great - the tiles are really well organized.
- The Integration it has with Concur and Success Factors is easy and straightforward and implementation effort was minimal
- The Analytic KPI's for Finance Overview is a huge improvement.
- Reporting to SAC is something working very well with us
- Refurbishment E2E process is not supported
- Mining Industry in the Cloud Solutions I'm not aware they exist or integrations with Typical Mining Software related to Production
- You can't create additional Chart of Accounts only YCOA
- When we need a customized solution it's more expensive then before ( we were on Premise )
- Reduced implementation cycle time if fit to standard is followed
- Negative impact: Sacrificing some key processes like refurbishment not stable in Cloud
- Need to spend a lot of time to understand CALM methodology including for Consulting Partners that lack experience - this is often not included in project timeline or underestimated

We are constantly undergoing acquisitions and mergers / divestitures and bringing in new company codes seem really easy.

Easy Integration - reduced effort but lacking Localization Business rules
