Overall Satisfaction with SharpSpring

We use Sharpspring to help bridge the gap between marketing and sales. The marketing automation tool and dynamic lists let us segment and target customers and prospects better so that we are sending content appropriately. We also use a lot a lot of forms to help collect new leads and notify the appropriate rep that they need to be contacted.
  • Marketing automation and scheduling is easy to navigate (once you've done it once or twice), and has a lot of flexibility for triggers and type of action.
  • Form building is easy, and it's nice to be able to update forms once they are in action.
  • Email reporting is comprehensive, and we like being able to drill into the reports and actions taken by specific users.
  • It's hard to update/customize the look and feel of forms the way that we would like.
  • Formatting on emails and the new landing pages (we've looked at these, but haven't used them consistently yet) is somewhat difficult to manipulate.
  • Customer service is lacking. The self-help documents are pretty good, but if you can't solve the problem there (or it's a development issue) it's really tough to get a helpful response.
  • It's an improvement in the way that we manage our data, and allows us to modify our emailing accordingly.
  • It provides a tool to help marketing and sales work together to collect better leads.
  • As a small team, it allows for more automation and scheduling to work around times when an employee is out, etc.
SharpSpring was a good middle-ground find for us. HubSpot and Marketo were both too expensive for a lot of functionality that we really don't need, and Autopilot was too limited. SharpSpring is relatively affordable, and allows for a little growth in our use of the system.
I can see the value of SharpSpring in the sweet spot where your company is too small to need a comprehensive content management system, but has outgrown basic email tools. It gives us flexibility and room to grow, but we aren't paying for a lot of functionality that we don't need.

It would work well with B2B companies who have a small number of big customers, where it's really valuable to track the movements of individual prospects; this is a little less applicable to us.
