Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business (formerly Lync)

It was used across the organisation, and replaced by Zoom. We used it for conference calls and meetings.
  • A lot of functions & features.
  • Very good contacts access panel.
  • Very bulky in general.
  • A lot of functionality so confusing for some people.
  • Very irritating to close. It just doesn't let you close it, it pops up in the bottom of the taskbar again and again.
  • I wasn't a part of the decision making team.
I had trouble while setting up Skype initially. The support responded within a weeks time. They were helpful with all the inquiries.

Skype for Business solves the video conferencing problems and meeting scheduling as well. A bit much to use sometimes, since it takes more time on the user interface to do even the basic stuff.
