Overall Satisfaction with GEP SMART

It is used by everyone and allows for enterprise-wide visibility of spending, which is especially valuable for a decentralized organization that uses multiple ERP systems.
  • The customer service level is incomparable to any other software providers I work with. The GEP Technical Team is very supportive and flexible.
  • The GEP Team takes enhancement requests seriously and always tries to further develop/enhance the tool, especially with small requests from users.
  • I would like to see more e-procurement, specifically spend management best practices documents/videos that provide additional thought leadership that is beneficial to supply chain and sourcing.
We only subscribe to the Spend Management module. We have briefly explored other modules in the past (eSourcing) but found that our needs are better met by other providers outside of GEP SMART.
  • It is very helpful to have a centralized database for our decentralized organization. We are able to see how much spend we have at any level across the entire enterprise as needed just by logging into GEP and creating reports.
  • We have recently been migrated to SMART 2.0 which allowed for more intuitive and user-friendly navigation.
The SMART 2.0 platform has been more intuitive and user-friendly, but some aesthetics can be improved. For example, the page does not fit to screen, so we have to often scroll up and down and left and right to see all details on the page. Also, there are smaller complaints from our users such as having to manually expand column size in the Insights Card within the spend module.
I was not a part of the implementation process, but have been managing our relationship with GEP SMART from our organization's end. I find that year-over-year speed in the tool improves and any enhancement we request is quickly addressed by our GEP Technical Team.
With the amount of ERP systems utilized at our organization, we have been unsuccessful in software integration. Our data collection processes are still more manual.
I have noticed that tool performance has continued to significantly improve year-over-year, especially in speed.
When we have evaluated other spending solutions providers, we always select GEP in the end due to the excellent customer service and support that we get from the Technical Team.
Our organization uses the spend module within the procurement tools platform and this is especially helpful to have a centralized spend database for a large and decentralized organization. The data analyses we derive from the tool allow us to have a starting point for collaborating on sourcing projects.
