Overall Satisfaction with TaxJar
TaxJar helped us get up to speed and compliance with all the Wayfair Sales Tax laws that were passed in various states. We were able to get up and running in a couple of months for all 8 of our brands, in over 30+ states. The ease of use is amazing and the price point is refreshing. We really enjoy using the service. The customer support is great and is always helpful. Spinning up a new brand is a breeze and the API is intuitive and easy to set up. I would highly recommend TaxJar to anyone who is just starting to get into sale tax thresholds and nexus, especially if you are looking for a straightforward solution that does exactly what you need it to do.
- Files monthly and quarterly sales tax filing
- Alerts us well in advance of potential nexus states
- Makes it super easy to implement a new brand or subsidiary
- International compliance would be amazing, at least the rest of North America
- A bit more intuitive report features, like drill downs
- We have been able to save over 120 hours of dev time building our own solution
- We have saved on have to hire a sales tax accountant
TaxJar was a better price than Avalara, mostly because it was a streamlined version of Avalara. TaxJar offers a no-frills software that does exactly what you need it to do, calculate and collect sales tax. If you need something more robust then I would look elsewhere, especially if you are looking globally.
