Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use UberConference throughout our entire organization. We have a number of colleagues that work remotely, so we use it for internal meetings as well as external meetings with our clients. It provides a seamless and user-friendly way to schedule and attend phone conferences. As a company that works with a lot of different clients, it's important for us to use an application that is simple for new users.

Pros and Cons

Extremely user-friendly.
Seamless screen-sharing.
No app download required.

We've heard from several clients that they're unsure what information is required for them to dial in for the first time. They think they have to sign up for an account when they don't, so that doesn't seem to be communicated particularly well.
You can't record a screen share. Only audio can be recorded.
The mute button for the hold music is sometimes faulty.

Return on Investment

It has made virtual conferencing easier.
There is less of an onboarding process for new clients using this tool.
We are saving money using UberConference over previous apps we've used.

Alternatives Considered

Cisco Webex Calling

Webex is quite clunky. The user interface is not as simple to use as UberConference and you have to download an app in order to use it on your desktop. Because of this, new users are often late to meetings because of the time it takes to download the app. UberConference doesn't require this and has a more streamlined user interface that makes it simple for new users to understand.

Support Rating

Fortunately, I have never had to utilize the support features of UberConference. The user experience is basically seamless. I have not heard anything negative from any of my teammates about UberConference support, so I assume that their experiences have been positive as well. It is clear where a user should go if they need support, which is always useful.

Since you can't record screen shares using UberConference, it would not be well-suited for anyone who needs to record the video from their meetings often. We have to use a separate app anytime we need to record video for a tutorial. It is well-suited for someone who has a lot of conferences with people outside their organization and is looking for a very easy-to-use conferencing application.
