Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
We use Veeam as our server backup solution. It is utilized to store and restore our data nightly. All of our business is run from one server, so having a reliable backup solution is crucial. Not only are all of our records and project files from the last thirty-five years of business stored on the server, every employee utilizes it as a remote desktop. Keeping that data safe, accessible and usable is our number one concern. Veeam was introduced as a super solution to our problem.

- Cloud-hosted VMs within AWS or Azure
- In addition to back up, we also replicate some of these workloads

- License portability as your environment needs change

- “Instant” recovery or portability between platforms (physical > virtual > cloud-hosted)

- Veeam makes it easy to find and retrieve back-up files.
- Veeam provides easy to understand daily back-up reports.
- Veeam sends out timely reports on the health and status of all drives being backed up.

Veeam protects all of our virtual and physical workloads and files, which are in the thousands. It easily handles them, which is more than we anticipated when we first acquired the product. Surprisingly so.

- Veeam provides us with reliable service, which is one less thing that has to be worried about.
Before Veeam, our back-up solution was clunky, slow and basic. We utilized the Windows back-up solution on our server. As the company grew and the data files got larger, the back-up process starting taking longer and longer. It also cut into productivity by extending into the work day and slowing the overall system down. Our old solution was also not very user friendly, programmable or elastic enough for our needs. Veeam offered all of this and more.
We do not use Cloud-based programs or systems at this time.
I am unsure if we use this capability or not.
