Overall Satisfaction with Webex App
We use Webex for individual and group chat, and audio and video conferencing, plus now our Cisco phone system is tied in directly with WebEx. With the single application, it is simple to be chatting with someone and if the conversation requires more clarity or to bring more people in, it's a simple matter of engaging other users or starting the audio or video conference option with a simple click. Plus the phone system adds another layer of communication available with a click or on a cell phone all from a single app.
Pros
- Individual and group chat.
- Video conferencing.
- Audio conferencing.
- Phone calls
Cons
- Sometimes adding a user is not intuitive.
- Searching for past conversations can be a bit confusing
- Not all contacts seem readily available across all segments of the platform, so even if you just talked to someone on the phone, you may have to dig out their information in order to send a chat to them. It just depends on the situation.
- The chat feature rivals that of other business communication systems I have used. It allows us to get questions answered quickly and efficiently.
- The fact that audio and video conferencing are built-in makes it simple to use one app for multiple functions. It is a real-time-saver, especially for quick meetings when something needs to be clarified.
- Phone calls and integration with out Cisco phone system is a huge benefit, allowing us to take calls anywhere on different devices and integrate the calls with other functionality.

Our IT group had a huge task implementing the VPN and firewall, then later integrating the phone system, but everything worked out and our entire staff, including our customer service representatives can now easily work remotely.
These solutions have made a very positive impact on our hybrid working environment, allowing us to easily convert the workforce to remote if there is an emergency, weather event or other reason that workers cannot come in to the office. We had a water line burst outside our office one day and an alert went out in the morning and the staff did not miss a beat.
Our experience has been mostly positive. There were some road blocks that had to be overcome during the implementation, and some basic training required, but once we achieved that, things began to run very smoothly. Our entire workforce is now very comfortable with the system and can easily transition to a remote workforce instantly.
Webex is as good as any of these competitors, and because the messaging, calling and conferencing features are integrated, it is actually better than some of these, which are stand-alone for only one of the features. Also, since we are a Microsoft house and use Outlook for email and meetings, the integration between the MS 365 suite and Webex is invaluable.

Webex App Feature Ratings
Cisco Hybrid Work
- Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
- Working from an office or other company space
- Working from home
Our hybrid work solution is fully implemented. I am not part of the IT team who did the direct implementation, but rather am a user of the product. From what I could tell as a user, the system was set up with the user in mind and the experience from my side has been very positive.
I was not involved in the choice of the Cisco product, but, as a user I can say that it is among one of the better solutions that I have used. That takes into account ease of use, security, user interface and a variety of integrations that make the overall work experience better.

Cisco Webex Experience
We use all the WebEx features and also use Vimeo for WebEx so that we can easily share our video content with team members, either individually or in groups. It is very handy having an app that lets you chat and set up meetings with your contacts, and also makes video sharing simple.
The Webex App provides an excellent and secure environment for our teams to chat, meet and collaborate with each other in a straightforward, simple interface. There are a number of handy features like automated emails for meetings and events, cross-platform interactions between PC and mobile, and secure calls on mobile phones with simple connectivity. The Personal Insights information provided in WebEx is also very informative to understand who you contact frequently and making sure that the interactions are productive. It really is a great app to have all these features in one place.
Although I have yet to use all these features, the features like noise suppression on meetings and calls is really excellent. The app seems to very efficiently recognize and eliminate background noises without affecting the conversation. The transcription feature is also remarkably accurate and typically needs very little editing. These features have saved our organization so much time, whether it is just by doing a quick chat with someone away from their desk and on a mobile device, or running virtual meetings with a dozen participants. WebEx has been a great time and resource saver!
Using Webex App
180 - The entire executive staff, administration, customer support, IT department and service team use Webex. For day-to-day communications, these groups depend on remote access, integrations and ease of use available with Webex.
12 - Webex is supported by our internal IT department, who are available 24 x 7 x 365 through our help desk and ticketing system. I am not aware of all the training that the team has gone through to support the product, but they certainly do a great job in keeping us up and running and secure when working remotely.
- Live chat with other employees
- Internal and external phone calls
- Setting up and attending meetings
- Tying in our conference rooms into the scheduling has been helpful for in-person meetings
- Being able to share larger files and video through chat has been helpful.
- With the mobile app and the integration of the phone system, it was a nice surprise that calls to my desk phone automatically will come in through the Webex app on my cell phone.
- I am not sure what is planned
