AB Tasty is a SAAS application created for e-marketers that enables them to optimize their website and conversion rate without technical knowledge. They can test several versions of their pages to identify which one has the biggest impact on their business objectives, e.g. click-through rate on a call to action button, add-to-cart rate, global conversion rate of their website.

We benchmarked AB Tasty vs. Kameleoon and Optimizely - the clear 3 leaders for me at the time I made the survey. Optimizely was and is still too expensive compared to the other two.
We then tested AB Tasty against Kameleoon with the acquisition team for 8 weeks. I was using Kame…
AB Tasty has very aggressive pricing and a simple-to-use toolset. We feel that AB Tasty gives us what we need and the other vendors don't provide additional value to justify the cost.
We used Webtrends Optimize before AB Tasty. We needed to change because, with Webtrends, you had to be a developer to use it. It was in 2015, I think Webtrends can now be used by non-technical users. In 2015, we made a request for proposals and AB Tasty was the most affordable …

AB testing tool are all converging. Be focused on price and roadmap.
Kameleoon has more functional and technical capabilities than AB Tasty and Adobe Target, and we have especially appreciated Kameleoon's support throughout the bidding process.

The support promised by Kameleoon was closer and more accessible, which encouraged us to choose Kameleoon over AB Tasty, which didn't seem to take SMEs like us into account.
Kameleoon paltform is easier than AB Tasty with more features. Kameleoon is even better on dashboard analysis, which allowed me to make better decisions with the test's results.
Kameleoon has noticeably less flicker and more comprehensive reporting. It is still a little behind when it comes to the editor. AB Tasty had a very comprehensive widget library that was included in the base price.

We were looking for a new tool after Google sunset their tool. We tested AB Tasty and Kameleoon. Our dev team was unhappy with the weight of the AB Tasty tag and I found the level of service with Kameleoon much higher.
Kameleoon offers a fair pricing which were below their competitors, and despite of offering "fair" price they are similar or even better than their large competitors (based on our evaluation) when it comes to their product offering, features and usability.
Kameleoon also offers …

Kameleoon is easier to use, the interface is really user-friendly and there is a lot of support material available, in case you need it.
A/B Tasty tool allows us do easy testing without burdening our limited developer resources all the time. Reports are simple enough to interpret. Support has been excellent and proactive, also the onboarding was successful. It is also an advantage that we have the possibility to drive all our traffic to the test versions rather than being limited to specific user amount per month. We can recommend A/B Tasty for testing purposes, as the platform keeps it’s promises, doesn’t require too much technical knowledge and the support is excellent.
If you're using the Adobe stack and tools to power your website, Target is a great solution to implement. I've utilized Target within two organizations, one running on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and the other on Adobe Magento. I don't see how companies could harness the full capacity of Target without also having Adobe Analytics integrated. This is their 'secret sauce' and might not be a good solution for companies who are invested in Google Analytics 360. Integration was straightforward but did require support from the Adobe team to implement successfully. While Target is a great tool for digital teams to support, you'll need your tech team aligned and available to support implementation.
There are many platforms to choose from when it comes to experimentation and personalization. We've found Kameleoon to be an excellent choice for those looking for a balance in capabilities (it checks all the boxes), cost-effectiveness, and a helpful customer success team paired with a responsive product team.
Customer-focused. Over the past year, AB Tasty has worked with us to overcome many obstacles (e.g. tracking hurdles, ITP issues, etc.). The team always finds a solution in a timely manner to ensure we're able to execute on experiments.
Reliability. One of the biggest hurdles earlier this year were the ITP regulations set out by Apple. Over 40% of our ad traffic was Safari users. AB Tasty was using 3rd party cookies but quickly migrated over to a local session storage solution that circumvented the issue.
This application gives us an incredible integration with Adobe Analytics that allows its operation to be the best and determine the performance of our website.
It offers us an analysis based on user behavior and a web page customization option to adapt and meet the needs of those users.
Sometimes the platform is a little glitchy and requires a refresh.
Would be great to be able to see the experiments and projects on a timeline with their status and main result to have an immediate view of ongoing and completed projects.
Email notification for when an experiment reaches a certain confidence level.
This is something a lot of testing tools struggle with, but I think the WYSIWYG ("What you see is what you get") editor - or Visual Experience Composer (VEC) in Adobe terminology - could definitely use some work. It's a struggle to execute many tests beyond simple copy, color, placement changes, and even the features that do exist are often clunky if not altogether broken.
The interface itself can be a bit counterintuitive in certain parts. If you are familiar with other tools, it's likely middle of the road in this respect; think much easier to understand than Monetate for instance, but a far cry from the simplicity of an Optimizely.
It can be a bit buggy from time to time. The worst example is the frequency at which the tool will fail to save due to an error, but not inform you of this until you try to save, at which point your only option is to log out, log back in, and make all of your updates once again. It can become an extreme pain point at times, and I personally have just gotten into the habit of saving every couple of minutes to avoid a massive loss of productivity.
Interface of the graphics editor is quite conceptual. It is fine after a few days but it takes a little while to recognize some icons.
Their online tutorial could also be easily improved.
If you want to do major graphical changes on your website, you will have to inject JS and CSS code which requires some technical background but I don’t know if that point can be improved.
AB Tasty's tool as well as the support team completely met my goals on A/B Testing. Editing a test is really easy and AB Tasty made the marketing team free to launch nearly any test. Reporting is also easy to set up and give us the information needed to keep improving transformation on landing pages and forms
We have a team of people trained on how to use the application and it integrates well with the other Adobe products we use. Our future roadmap of testing will require some complex scenarios which we hope Target will be able to accomplish
The tool’s usability is excellent, with a smooth and intuitive interface. It is continuously updated with new features and improvements aimed at enhancing the user experience. Setting up experiments and personalizations is straightforward, thanks to a well-structured process that even less experienced users can easily follow. There are sometimes small issues with the QA section which slows the QA process but it is so much better now compared to 2024.
The recent UI update is a complete mess. It is difficult to navigate and find features that previously existed. The reactiveness of the page depending on window size is also ridiculous and it is absurd that depending on how large your window is, entire columns of functions will disappear with no indication that they are missing. The usability of the tool has fallen off a cliff.
Kameleoon offers one of the best UI's I've seen when I've compared it to 4 of the other big competitors in the landscape. They have some improvement areas when it comes to the UX - Which is easily solvable if/when prioritized. There's a little to much "clicking" and "new tabs" in my opinion
Support is good, but it would be better if it was quicker or if AB Tasty provided a quicker SLA. At times, you require stuff urgently but AB Tasty support isn't as quick as I personally like it to be.
On several occasions, we have had the need to ask for help from the Adobe Target support team, and I must say that they have provided us with an excellent experience, as they take care of solving the problems quickly and with high precision
We have a very good relationship with our CSM and with Kameleoon’s technical team. We trust them fully to help us with the set-up of A/B tests and personalizations, analysis of results, and any technical matter that we may encounter. They always do their best to be as responsive as possible, and our communications are always very fluid.
The instructor that came to train us was awesome and this training was very useful. I would recommend it for anyone who is going to be using this software. I only mark it lower because it is an added expense to an already expensive product, and a lot of the training covered the "Target" portion of the software (which again, we didn't use)
There is a vast amount of training available on their online platform, including their university area of which you can get certified for (and then share this with your connections on platforms such as Linkedin). There is also specific hand created training which can be provided by your customer success manager if that is requested by yourself.
The training was very easy to understand, however it would have been more useful to my development team than me. It was also primarily over-the-phone, which is never as easy to follow as in-person. We ended up scheduling and paying for an in-person training session to supplement the online/phone training because it wasn't helpful enough.
Implement using a global mBox on the page so you can change any and everything over the traditional method. Traditional method is good if you do not have technical web dev resources, do not know Javascript/jQuery, or you have money to blow on mBox calls. Global deployment reduces mBox calls and allows you to touch many parts of the page easily. A lot more customizable
We selected AB Tasty mostly because we got a sense that their dev and customer service teams were going to go above and beyond to help us out. We were right! The cost was also a factor as they came in a small bit lower, but cost wasn't the only factor.
We seriously considered another software but because we use so many other Adobe products this made the most sense for us. If you are not dependent on other Adobe software and are a smaller company, in my opinion, Target may not be the best fit.
We were looking for a new tool after Google sunset their tool. We tested AB Tasty and Kameleoon. Our dev team was unhappy with the weight of the AB Tasty tag and I found the level of service with Kameleoon much higher.
Since we use AB tasty our conversion rates have significantly increased on the Watch pages.
We can report positive comments about the evolutions of our interfaces, from our expert users. And so improved customer satisfaction.
The solution allows us to validate or invalidate without taking major risk while gaining in reactivity, our proposals relook pages.
Commitment rates are much higher, multiplied by 2 or 3, when we implement customizations that are relevant. These customizations are very relevant insofar as we are governed by the seasonality of events as a media site.
We have been able to run specific A/B tests that have shown an increase in conversion, which in turn has led to very large banked sales numbers for the year.
We have been able to prove that using and automated Merchandising process did not decrease conversion. This allowed us to greatly increase efficiency by opening up resource time.
Since we started using Kameleoon, our ROI indicators are all green. Truth is, we rely on exigent customers. If they’re not happy with our service, we will pay for it on the long term. Kameleoon helps us making sure this is not happening by providing us the tools to continuously improve our customers’ experiences.
