Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud
Acronis Backup Cloud is suited for backing up Windows Servers. Downtime is greatly decreased by using their virtualization options. You will need a Hyper-V enabled computer to virtualize, though, but this can be one of your general-use workstations. A Windows 10 Pro machine with 16 GB of RAM would do it for you.Or, if you have Macs that need to be backed up, you can do that as well. You can grab either full volume images, or files/folders.I can't really think of a scenario that you would not want Acronis Backup Cloud, except pre-Server 2012 OS's, since virtualization isn't supported on those older systems.

This is an economical way to back up less than 1000 GB of data. It can also back-up mapped drives, so you can do the back-up from a personal computer in addition to the server. Restoring tends to be a bit cumbersome, so this should be used as an emergency function, not regularly. Once I tried to add files from the server to another computer but it didn't work because the other computer didn't have the IDrive installed.

Cons
Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud
- The fact Acronis is an OS client base backup, which leads to more backup failures. Although most issues can be corrected with restarting services.
- Recovering backups from the cloud(internet) is a lot slower then acessing local backups.
- The backup error reports are not detailed enough to help administrators fix issues.

- The used to send your backed up data overnight on a hard drive (if you needed it). Now, they only have an option to download. I love that you can download your data if you need it. That is great, but I would still love the option to ship an actual hard drive because in some cases there is too much data and downloading it all could take days.
- The UI could use an update/refresh.
- If you are not tech-savvy it's not super obvious how to set things up. It would be helpful for some it were simplified in some aspects.

The cost savings we realized from moving to this software has us hooked - it does everything we need it to do on a very high level (virtualization, for example) and is very low cost for us.

We seldom make use of Acronis support, but when we have they have been brilliant. All our engineers are Acronis certified, if they not able to resolve an issue, we touch base with our local Acronis supplier, Synapsys, who resolve issues 90% of the time.

I have not had to use their tech support. I did call once but luckily figured out what to do while I was on hold so I disconnected. If I really needed them it would have been a very long hold time I suppose.

Alternatives Considered
Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud
We went with Acronis Backup Cloud because we're able to backup all platforms, not just PCs. And the price was good when it comes to all those options. It's a hard sell to clients, but when explained properly, the understand the cost of a good solution. It's like having good car insurance.

Backblaze is easier to set up, but it's not the better solution for me. I need to be able to backup to multiple locations. Backblaze didn't offer a way to do backups to an external HD. Backblaze didn't offer versioning when I picked iDrive. Backblaze wasn't able to throttle upload and download speeds which would slow things down when I have to deliver files to clients online.

- iDrive has saved us money as their pricing structure is fair and they allow multiple devices to be backed up under the same account - where others do not.
- iDrive has saved us time as we no longer have to manually back up and sync files on our computers to external drives.
- iDrive has lessened the burden of stress. We no longer worry that we may lose critical data that can no longer be recovered.
