ADP TotalSource (as a PEO) is well-suited for companies that need a little help acquiring the next tier of benefit offerings from payers. Assuming they continue providing additional training to account representatives, they are well suited for companies who would like to reduce their exposure to payroll and human resources. The service is less appropriate for smaller companies who can easily handle payroll functions in house.

We took the trial of 3 HR software before going with BizMerlinHR. We wanted to have a comprehensive HR solution to cover our Paperless employee records, employee onboarding, PTO, Timesheets and Employee Performance Management. We were not looking for an Applicant Tracking system and Retention management module, but when we saw the functionality and easy use we were completely sold to those modules as well. It was like add-on but the price of everything was more economical than the other software that we were reviewing

  • This software is highly configurable. Very easy to use. Lots of out of box integration.
  • It's got a mobile app and is also cloud based.
  • The goals module is our biggest used module. It also has great features like instant feedback, applicant tracking and onboarding.

  • While the prebuilt reports were great, I would have to contact TS in order to get a custom report. This only happened a few times because like I said, they had a variety of prebuilt reports that fit my needs
  • iReports was implemented and it became more difficult to find employee paystubs and find YTD pay

ADP TotalSource

We use ADP simply to to track pay for employees. We really like more of the functionality of Workday as it is really easy to import org charts and track performance. The graphics and appearance of these sections are also really nice! We also use Workday to track time off as it was more popular among employees to use when we asked them to compare more options. However, ADP is much better at tracking pay and because it carries information over from previous jobs, employees really like this as well!

It was like add-on but the price of everything was more economical than the other software that we were reviewing. Also, they really mean when they say "No setup fees" - because they helped us move all of our legacy data into the new system at no extra charge and helped us integrate with QuickBooks online. They definitely provide the best value of money when comparing the same set of features.
We have been using BizMerlinHR since 2018, and both our HR managers and users are very happy.

  • ADP has made onboarding a breeze, which has saved us a ton of time in the hiring process. Freeing up employees to start work as soon as possible is extremely valuable in any space.
  • ADP doesn't need direct oversight most of the time, it being a very "set it and forget it" type of platform frees up our HR department for other things.
