Please contact ADP for a product demo and ask about a hands-on "test drive" of Workforce Now.
All the solutions we reviewed were fairly similar to ADP WFN in terms of the capabilities/products we were using. Pricing was also pretty similar across the board, with the exception of iSolved, which is the provider we chose to go with after +10 years with ADP.
ADP does not have an automated onboarding process like iSolved. In iSolved, you can send the new hire an email and they enter their demographic info before their start date to eliminate the amount of paperwork kept in the house, more of an electronic housekeeping method. ADP is …
isolved was not practical for a business of our size. isolved was also a pain on the administrator end to use, employees could not view their own times, requests, etc. Additionally, it was not very user-friendly. ADP Workforce Now has touched and improved upon these points …
ADP Workforce Now is an easier system to use. It is all-inclusive. The customer service (even with faults) is better. We are not having errors, such as direct deposits being blocked on the company's end or tax issues like we had with our previous payroll company. It also saves …
I feel that ADP workforce now is not the best software available, but one of many choices for a fully comprehensive HRIS system that can manage all functions of Human Resources if desired.
We used Selerix BenSelect for a brief amount of time (we were able to use the system free of charge because our brokers at the time offered it). It wasn't quite as user-friendly/easy to figure out, but it definitely offered better reporting capability. The file feeds seemed to …
I have most experience with ADP WFN and Paychex Flex and can say isolved is a better fit for our company than either of these. isolved has better customer service and is a better fit and value given our size and industry.
The customer service support level is vastly superior to that of ADP Workforce Now. The payroll reporting functionality is much more robust on ADP Workforce Now's end than that of isolved. isolved is easier to use for both the payroll practitioner and the employees than that of …

I can never find reports I need to gather all of the information about a client needed for a new set up. This goes back to why I love isolved reports so much. There is literally a report for anything you need. I end up having to screenshot information from other payroll …

You can win me over, regardless of cost, by having great customer service, and this company nails it time and time again.
I've used a couple other payroll products in the past......they do not rise up to the efficiencies and top notch customer support isolved does.

isolved provides a system and capabilities right at the sweet spot for our organizations. It is not overly complex and feature laden as to make it confusing and complex. On the other hand, it is fully functional and effective at the core requirements of HR and payroll without …
iSolved is far superior to the other platforms mentioned, due to the fact that there is a dedicated customer service representative and the ease of use of the time & attendance and payroll systems as a whole. The HCM modules are great and easy to use. Reports generation is also …
I have used ADP to process payroll before and it's relatively nightmarish for a company of this size. isolved sets things up easily and there is no need for an external excel file to upload data into to get everything correct - everything can be done right in the online software.

Simply doesn't compare. User interface, reporting, time management. All outstanding vs the other product. ADP is nice but not as nice of a user interface and not as intuitive when learning or looking or things. Paylocity has a great user interface but they are not as …
[I feel] ADP had terrible customer support. They are very rigid - do it their way, or not at all. The reports out of ADP are difficult to create and maintain. ADP is difficult to learn.
The ease in which you can process payroll and year end (T4s). Ability to maintain payroll - enter upcoming changes (e.g. pay raises for a certain date) ahead of time. While we don't use it in my current company, in past ones the time & attendance integration with timesheets is fabulous. Our company uses a 3rd party scheduling & timesheet platform which also integrates with one click but is a little more work to maintain time off balances within ADP Workforce Now. We use the 3rd party platform (Evolia) for scheduling and timesheets as the management here wanted the ability to see salaried employees on site, have a chat feature, and some self-management on the employee side with the ability to swap shifts.
Best for companies with payroll that take 360 integration with Ease. Great for an employee base that uses technology easily, but less great for employees who don't use technology well. You're able to input answers for employees which is helpful, but takes more work for the admin. The biggest benefit is the integration.
I have not yet run into a scenario that isolved is not appropriate. There have been a few specific functionalities that isolved couldn't accommodate, such as paid PTO plans. If employees frequently switch between different legal companies with different EINs, isolved really isn't built to handle that, and we've had to come up with creative solutions.
The payroll processing has been a huge benefit in keeping our weekly payroll process on track and accurate.
The COBRA services are very beneficial and we do not have to do any tracking. I appreciate this process is no longer on my duty list.
I would say the third id probably the timekeeping. The system is effective for daily tracking and timecard review. The access to the time clock is exceptional with multiple access points. The adjustments for additional pay on holidays has been helpful.
Due to the lack of support from the sales and service center we are looking at other options outside of ADP. Again it is a good system, it just lacks the support it deserves from the company employees. It is just unimaginable that you will need to reach out to a service provider several times for the same issue and not get it resolved.
I believe Isolved has helped with allot of our previous payroll and HR issues but I am not the sole person responsible for making the decisions. If it were my responsibility to make the decision I would say yes, my input does weigh heavily on the choices but it's not guaranteed.
I would give it a 10 however I do not like when ADP does facelifts in Workforce Now which does not add any value other than having to relearn navigation. I am also not a big fan of being forced to refer to the Bridge. We have Google which gives the same results. If I understood the answer I would not contact our Account Rep.
It is very intuitive and user friendly. iSolved is always updating and improving things before they even become a problem. I like how they inform us of the new updates and provide us with the details of what is changing and how it will improve the usuage.
Payroll due dates and send to us at the beginning of the year, with email reminders for holidays. The support email address is fairly fast, within 24-48 hours. But if something is needed immediately, I can just call and they help me out right then.
Overall, I think the functionality of the program works pretty well. Sometimes, certain browsers do not work well for the policy function of ADP, but that is the only issue thus far
We do not use the integration, so we have a csv file that I upload manually for payroll. That is our decision based on the software at our restaurants. Pages loaded fairly quickly, but reports to pdf lag about 15-20 seconds
Kelly La Rosa and Brian McLaughlin have been exceptional partners over the last few years and a tremendous source of support in my role. They are consistently solution‑oriented, highly responsive, and proactive in identifying opportunities to improve our processes. Both regularly brought forward thoughtful recommendations, including suggestions for new ADP products that aligned well with our evolving needs. Their expertise, reliability, and genuine commitment to client success have made a meaningful impact on my work and on our overall experience with ADP.
They are very responsive and they have support for the specific issues. Clients receive a dedicated Support Representative with a back up dedicated support team. They also receive an Account Manager who follows up quarterly to discuss the company and future needs. They do have a support ticket hub, but it still needs a little work to fine tune it.
In-person training was pretty good - I think this significantly depends on the trainer. Our trainer was really good and showed what ADP can do - but I know that all trainers are not the same - and this truly makes such as difference. Overall, our training went pretty well.
At the time training was not as expansive as it is now. If it could go wrong it did for me so the process was difficult and lengthy. I needed to have more in person walkthroughs of things to ensure the transition was done correctly. Not sure what else I can say, we were part of the initial move to Workforce Now when it was introduced.
We loved taking the course, we went through most of them before we went live and I believe that was very helpful. The online training helped us learn to navigate in the program. We still refer to the training and assign our managers and supervisors to it as well. I highly recommend using it. We have also been able to attend the Connect Conferences with are extremely valuable and we learn tips and tricks to help us better utilize our system.
Either assign more than one specialist to the implementation process, or assign less clients to the implementation specialist. The process requires attention to detail and the ability to test and re-test as well as verify the information. It also requires a lot of back and forth between the client ant the implementation specialist, so they need to be readily available during the whole implementation process.
The system was very cumbersome setting up as well as time consuming. There were times I just wanted to walk away and sometimes I did have to get up and walk away for a break and come back with a fresh perspective. The setup took me over a period of two to three months getting it to serve the purposes that we needed it two. I am very intuitive when it comes to computer software however getting all the right buttons checked in order for it to do what I needed didn't always work.
I also used UltiPro (way back -- it didn't even appear in dropdown). Recommend ADP Workforce Now above all others. Paycor and Paycom were both very clunky. I even helped implement Paycom and could never get it to work how the business needed it to.
My general agency Warner Pacific recommended EaseCentral and I checked it out. Seemed like a great fit and well worth the investment. I know other colleagues that use and are happy with Employer Navigator and some of the other ones. I have not checked out many other options because Warner Pacific did all that research and work for me. 2 thumbs up for EaseCentral
isolved provides a system and capabilities right at the sweet spot for our organizations. It is not overly complex and feature laden as to make it confusing and complex. On the other hand, it is fully functional and effective at the core requirements of HR and payroll without requiring additional work outside of the system. All of the systems we have previously considered or used were with limited on functionality or prohibitively expense and complex.
We have several departments that utilize the reporting, utilize the timecards and the system. We also have self service that is nice for all of our employees. This system allows us to designate what each group can see, and what employees can change, or who can clock in and out offsite
We are a company of about 135 people at 9 locations in 2 towns. We were able to set locations and departments, and also have each location seperate so only that manager can see their employees.
ADP WorkforceNow has provided a positive ROI for our company. It has saved me countless hours in the time I used to spend preparing reports, managing benefits, and annual enrollment, recruitment tracking, and much more.
The integration with Payscale has allowed our company to take every position in our organization and benchmark it to industries and job titles. This has allowed us to be more competitive on recruitment and retention.
We have used the new DE&I dashboard to provide valuable information on the landscape of our workforce, as well as areas of our organization that may not be as diverse.
