Considered Multiple Products
Brevo
Chose Brevo
I think Brevo is more user-friendly than Mailchimp. The free version is also better on Brevo.
Chose Brevo
Mailchimp was the product used at my previous company, but is more expensive than Brevo, and not so easy and quick to configure.
I was looking for Sendinblue, when I realized it has changed to Brevo, and this change really helped me a lot to set up the whole mailing system …
Chose Brevo
I tried to used Mailchimp looks a great alternative but also its very expensive for small projects. Zapier, on the other hand looks like it needs a special learning curve that we cannot afford at the moment. We need a simple, effective and direct solution that fits our needs. I …
Chose Brevo
Mailchimp is the industry standard - but is a bit overburdened with features. We chose Brevo because it "does what is on the tin," just what we need.
Chose Brevo
Brevo is very close in functionality to Mailchimp and closely familiar. When looking for a new provider I was able to trial Brevo very quickly due to being closely formatted in a similar way making the transition and decision to switch much easlier.
Chose Brevo
Forms are better, integrated better with my WordPress plugin and the form design has more features. Brevo was recommended to me by an agency and when I first tried to create the forms I needed for landing pages in it, it proved better, more efficient and with more features than …
Chose Brevo
Mailchimp's pricing is based on the number of contacts and quickly gets very expensive. We dropped our spending budget by two just by switching to Brevo.
Chose Brevo
I have been using Mailchimp for many years, and honestly, it works well but I wanted to switch to see other options out of curiosity. Brevo seems much faster and more intuitive to me. What I value most about Brevo is the support service. I had a question, and they resolved it …
Chose Brevo
Can unify all the platforms in only one
Chose Brevo
On the outbound campaign side, Brevo is pretty no-frills, but it's more than good enough if you want to be out of the Intuit ecosystem and don't want to fuss with Constant Contact's legacy vibe.

Brevo is superlative email with marketing tacked on rather than vice versa. If you …
Chose Brevo
Brevo gives me the perfect balance of bang and the buck. Its really powerful, but it is good on cost. MailChimp was too costly for me, and tools like SendPulse were cheap but lacked the analytics and reports that I desire. sendgrid was decent but often had reliability issues …
Chose Brevo
Brevo is more intuitive and flexible. It allows more creativity
Chose Brevo
I select Brevo because at the beginning it has no limit listings.
Chose Brevo
Initial testing phase includes unlimited client database upload, competitive pricing, client feedback collection form linked to contact DB, straightforward automation setup, and a 50% discount coupon offer.
Chose Brevo
The TLDR version: Brevo outcompetes AWeber in almost every possible way: content editor quality and ease-of-use, general usability, cost, effectiveness, reliability, customer service, understanding needs of clients (ie. budgets), small business focus, etc. etc. etc. Brevo for …

Intuit Mailchimp
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Brevo - I have found to be a better all-rounder. The customization to the emails seems more advanced, being able to edit the mobile and desktop view individually. You also pay for emails sent, rather than the number of contacts. I find Mailchimp has better deliverability than Br…
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Mailchimp is similar offering but ability to send transactional email from Brevo/sendinblue is definitely a step up. We have been with mail chimp for quite some time and mostly the familiarity of our users with Mailchimp is the reason for us to still use it. We will be …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Substack's report is god-awful, Constant Contact does a decent if slightly basic job, and Brevo is overkill for us, but we use it in a variety of ways.

For our purposes, it would be great to combine several features or characteristics from each for my perfect system.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Intuit Mailchimp is more affordable, scalable for all team sizes, has a shorter SMS registration approval timeframe, integrates with more platforms, and doesn't require training to get started.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Intuit Mailchimp gives a 360" CRM experience and gives the possibility to manage social media, texts, pushes, emails, and other interactions in one place. It is really handy and offers numerous possibilities for creating complex marketing campaigns within a single platform. …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
I have since migrated away from Mailchimp.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
The UX/UI experience is better which makes it seem like it's better, when they are both very similar on terms of features.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Mailchimp is more premium than these tools, in one of the use cases, I have now been using them for landing pages, even if I don't run email campaigns. The tool is seamless with strict rules around spamming and unsubscriptions. You can trust deliverability with Mailchimp. …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Mailchimp compared well to both of these because it had a great combination of high quality toolset and support along with good value. Mailchimp is also a very well known brand that can be trusted, which is important when customers are interacting with content delivered via …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Mailchimp has a great feature set when compared to some of the other tools I've used, and it is a great value for the money. Even the free version of Mailchimp offers a good number of features to let you test it out to see if it is worthwhile to invest in.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Mailchimp is generally a simpler solution, and I've picked it for multiple companies because of that. I also like that Mailchimp does better on delivery than just about anywhere else. The brand is also fun and powerful.

Mailchimp needs to keep their system clean and not put so …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
MailChimp is an excellent tool with simplicity, features, and pay-as-you-go plans, but Sendinblue is cheaper and has more automation and list management features. Email campaign management is most straightforward with Mailchimp.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Very slow customer service support took me 3 days to reset my password. The interface is not as user-friendly as Mailchimp and their pricing is not as competitive as Mailchimp.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Mailchimp offers a complete marketing solution that an online media organization ever needs. The automation features provided by Mailchimp can not be seen on its competitors. The integration of Mailchimp with popular CMS platforms like WordPress is very easy and stable than …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Mailchimp was usually already in place and needed to be set up for growth. In general, I found that the lack of phone support at the lower tiers and the rigidness for opt-in rules made working with it long term not that easy.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
I would still recommend Mailchimp to most people starting out. It's easy to use and set up and doesn't require a lot of extra support to get started. Other than ActiveCampaign or Keap, which are for larger lists and more complicated, Mailchimp is a good choice. If you …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Sendinblue has the same problems as Mailchimp, but I liked the reports better.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
It is an easy-to-use and easy-to-navigate tool. The free plan Mailchimp offers sets the industry benchmark in terms of features offered and is a great way to learn the basics of email marketing before moving on to more advanced features. When you create a campaign and enable …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Comparing with Sendinblue, Mailchimp wins in the user interface department by quite a lot. The website site online interface is very easy to use, full of tools and function and yet very responsive to the user's every input. While the Sendinblue's user interface seems like more …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
Mailchimp stacks up against other systems for various reasons. First of all, it's the best if you watch integrations: almost everything can be integrated easily with Mailchimp. If it's not already integrated you can use their API and make your own integration. Plus they have …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
I don't think that Mailchimp can claim to be the big innovator in the space anymore as others have had to be scrappier recently, but Mailchimp definitely has the most robust suite of tools and functionality.
Chose Intuit Mailchimp
I've chosen to continue working with Mailchimp because of the Essential paid plan features and especially the feature of pausing paying for a period when you don't have content to share.
Essential plan is fine when you for hundreds of emails but the free plan is not appropriate …
Chose Intuit Mailchimp

Brevo (Sendinblue, Inc)
Brevo is very suitable for companies and individuals who want to run email marketing campaigns, create a strong corporate image, manage customer relationships, and build customer loyalty. Like any application, there are areas for improvement, such as more templates and a simpler CRM application, but I believe it has more positive features than negative ones, and for us, it has become a strategic partner. This review was originally written in Spanish and has been translated into English using a third-party translation tool. While we strive for accuracy, some nuances or meanings may not be perfectly captured.

For any E-commerce related needs, like you need to see a list of customers who have added products to cart but did not purchase, this can be done really easily, but if your e-commerce provider provides integration, then it is best suited. Most of the systems in the Market provide out-of-the-box integration. Their API is also very easy it can be integrated to any language. You can integrate it into your custom developed system and use the features, like adding customers to specific lists. Also, if your lists become really big, then their system can get a bit slow to respond via API, so you might need a strategy for how you are gonna fetch the data using API.

Mautic is not Salesforce or Dynamics of course; it is hard to install, still buggy and you have to know what you're doing if you want to use it. But that is your admission fee to an always free system that does essentially all the same things as the pricey alternatives, does it effectively and gives you total control. Mautic was acquired by Acquia, the company behind Drupal, and has been making substantial upgrades since that seem to be accelerating. The system has an active user community, active development and will only get better, making it an excellent choice to grow with and build your own systems around and never be dependent on third parties

Pros
Brevo (Sendinblue, Inc)
  • Sendinblue allows you to send emails that do not arrive in spam

  • Mailchimp allows you to manage your mailing list really well. You can subscribe people, unsubscribe people manage the mailing list directly into segments, and what not.
  • Mailchimp has features where you can create campaigns based on your mailing lists and send out newsletters to your subscribers based on a multitude of parameters that you can setup. Such as send email daily, weekly, monthly and they also have event based mails that you can send out.
  • Mailchimp also has a feature where you can design your emails. The look and aesthetics are very important when sending emails to your subscribers and all those needs are addressed here.

Cons
Brevo (Sendinblue, Inc)
  • Onboarding can be a bit tricky. As with most WordPress additions, different plugins will have different configurations. Don't expect to install and just click activate.
  • Online support is highly technical. Email is its own beast and even good digital may not know more than the basics.
  • The reporting is strangely not intuitive or even very end-user friendly even with the robust data being tracked.
  • Composing in their editor can sometimes sync differently. Just like a video game, it's helpful to save often despite the autosave.

  • The pricing tiers do scale quickly so if you have a free newsletter it may get expensive
  • The pricing is based on total emails so if you have users who you only email rarely it might not make sense to use Intuit Mailchimp
  • Customer support can be a bit lacking at times and their docs aren't always the best

We've had Mailchimp for about ten years, I want to say. I started with the company about four years ago, and I don't see us ever diverting to another source. It's easy for us to use, and we have all our clients already built into the database. I imagine we'll use them for as long as we have the company.

Usability
Brevo (Sendinblue, Inc)
It's okay, it's easy to use, has good features, and good automation options, but it lacks better delivery support. Many messages end up in spam, even though I have a dedicated IP address that I pay for separately, and I think it needs more design options to make emails stand out, especially in terms of typography. That's why I'm not giving it a 10. It also lacks integration with other tools.

The interface is a bit complicated, and I need to spend some time to learn new functions and understanding how it works. Sendinblue not stacking up so great unfortunately. We are considering going back to Constant Contact because of ongoing issues we are having with Sendinblue. We have however just upgraded to Premium with Sendinblue, mainly so we can get Telephone Support. But now it seems Sendinblue do not call you, you have to call them. With Constant Contact they would phone us and talk us through any issues we were having.
We selected Sendinblue initially because of price.
Also, our average Open rate over the last few months we were with Constant Contact was about 20%. Our Open rate - to exactly the same database, has dropped to under 10% with Sendinblue. We can't understand this. Doesn't make sense.
The Click Rate has stayed about the same - averaging about 2-3% on both platforms.

I don't think they are comparable; we use Google Ads to put our website at the top of the list when someone googles certain words. We use meta business to manage our social media. Google aims to gain customers, while Mailchimp is used to interact with both existing and new customers.

Infusionsoft, at the time I tested it, had a crazy editor--very unintuitive and not very clean. Mautic (open source) makes it much easier to build up campaigns. Besides that, it didn't provide what we needed to justify the lack of possibility to self-host it and the requirement to pay for it.

Mailchimp over the years I've used it has grown in leaps and bounds. They have added so many additional features than were previously available. They are truly an all-in-one marketing platform now. If you're a small operation and just want to add email to your marketing efforts, they're there for you. If you're a larger operation and want to start sending postcard advertisements, they can do that. If you'd good with that and want to kick up your marketing by going social, you can do that on their platform. They are truly able to be as small as you need, but also get quite large in whatever it is you'd like to do through their system.

  • One of my retail web store clients was sending out email specials and notices about once a month. After clicking the send button, we would watch Google Analytics and the current site users would light up immediately. Often, the current site visitors would pop up to 20, 30 or more after the email was sent. On a normal day, seeing 1 or 2 online users would be OK.
