Likelihood to Recommend Jobscience is a good fit for medium to large organizations, especially those who have various different lines of business and need one system to be able to handle them all. It is very difficult for me to imagine another system being able to accommodate the very different ways of doing business between our departments. Only a highly flexible system could have a chance at doing that.

Read full review Pros JobScience is extremely customizable and flexible. This is a strength because you can tailor it to your workflow, rather than having to change your workflow to fit a software. JobScience is the most intuitive ATS / CRM I have ever used. This is particularly important when hiring and training new employees. The faster they can come up to speed on the core software in your business, the faster they can start generating revenue. JobScience has extremely powerful built in reports. I have yet to need a report that I couldn't build using the internal report wizard. It helps us understand all the numbers at the heart of our business, which is critical in decision making situations. JobScience also has powerful automation components. The email alerts and automated tasks you can set up are great and boost efficiency. We use them a lot, and I suspect we may have only scratched the surface. Read full review Easy batch upload of new contacts - if you gathered names and contact info for a bunch of people at an event or conference or what have you, put it in a spreadsheet and upload it for easy and efficient adding to the database. Simple communication and outreach tracking - each user has an individualized dropbox email address; you can BCC:, CC:, or forward an email to or from a client or contact, and Highrise automatically associates and records that email with the contact in the database. Task assignments - users can create and task assignments associated with specific contacts (ie - Send Suzy J. a gift box on Oct 1; Follow Marla K. and Billy Z. on Twitter & Facebook; Get an updated address from Nathan R.) Tags - easily create lists of contacts who fit certain needs (I need a: food blogger, in TX, who has a Facebook page - we have "food blogger", "TX," and "Facebook" tags in our system) that is then exportable; also useful for knowing the important associations of a particular contact. Read full review Cons Multiple users - when multiple users edit a page, it doesn't show that there is someone else on the page and it only lets one person edit which can cause the information to be lost. Action grid - it is a helpful page to use however it is extremely slow and takes a long time to load and can be a bit finicky. It's simple - this is is also a positive, but I also think there could be additional resources added to it to make it more up to date and advanced. Read full review Im actually pretty happy with the system as it is. The best aspect of Highrise is that it is very easy to work with - no need to struggle with manuals and lengthy training. Not really a problem I suppose but I pay for Highrise as part of a suite which includes other products - Basecamp, Backpack and Campfire. It would be nice to see more integration between these products. Read full review Likelihood to Renew Highrise is easy to use, has a nice UI overall, quick to load, and does most of what we need.
Read full review Usability It's quick and easy to setup and use. There isn't any feature "bloat". Nothing to struggle with
Read full review Support Rating They are quick and SO nice. They are very friendly and are eager to help.
Read full review Alternatives Considered We use Jobscience to add candidates, upload resumes, and have certain fields such as Name, Location, Compensation Details, Non-compete Details, Packet highlights, and of course the Resume field, all of which are required in order to create a packet to submit to our clients. These packets are created using
Conga ActionGrid , so Jobscience allows us to input all the information, and it would be great if we could create a packet directly through Jobscience, but we require
Conga ActionGrid , as that is then used in Adobe PDF to create the final packet.
Read full review Highrise is simple to use and is run by the same folks who build Basecamp and 37Signals. We wanted something that would do the essentials without the cumbersome bells and whistles.
Salesforce is almost too complicated if you don't have a whole sales operation and analytics division. One day we will probably outgrow Highrise, but not yet.
Read full review Return on Investment It is convenient because I can see nationwide activity logged in the database from other locations in real time. It's not a negative impact, just isn't as lead-generation or easy to use for candidate pool search as I would like. Read full review Better customer service, I am able to look up client info in a more organized way I feel that our efficiency has really increased.
