Comindware Tracker is available for purchase on a per-user subscription plan.
Camunda Platform is well suited for scenarios where there are different stages in a business flow and the flow is driven by user action at each stage. For example placing of an order on an ecommerce platform. Depending on whether user was able to make the payment or not the workflow would go to dispatch or retry stage. Now the retry stage would trigger further actions like sending follow up emails etc. Likewise, dispatch stage would have a different set of actions. Since every order is important and we need to know where it stands, using Camunda Platform is imperative. Camunda Platform might not be a right choice where just a one off thing needs to be done. For example, uploading of product information by user or periodic processing of heavy images by a worker. These are all either one step processes or periodic automated processes where we can track the status without using a business modeler like Camunda Platform.
CMW has less integration capabilities, this is something that can definitely be improved in the future. On a side note, the MS Outlook integration option is excellent. The UI is decent for its purpose and the platform is well suited for a range of business requirements - customer order management, document tracking and approval management. You name it, they have it.
I would like to see Comindware Tracker come in a free pricing tier.
I would like to see Comindware Tracker offer more granular roles to be assigned to workflow users.
I would like to see Comindware Tracker integrate with more ERP systems and to offer more import/export/migration capabilities from other workflow management systems.
As a user the platform helped me in automating workflows and handling repetitive tasks, saving time and improving productivity for both myself and my team. Since it also provides the facility to generate real-time reports is very useful, and it helps with decision-making and tracking project progress and predict the best for the future.
It's more of drag and drop functionality. It is quite easy to set up. Creation of form is very easy. Support Team of Comindware Tracker is good and very friendly. It is efficient in terms of task management, project management, team management, vendor/client tracking.
Lacks good documentation. Training and documentation is geared towards those who are already technically adept. Does not have as many data integrations as other full fledged products. Paid version of Camunda is not as fully fledged as other products.
Other than trying Comindware Tracker it is newer to me, I have used Adobe software multiple times and are familiar with their products. I won't stack Comindware Tracker against them because they both are amazing. I like using Comindware tracker because it is easy to use and is great for me, it helps optimize and maintain my workflows.
The positive impact is that we are able to ensure the business process is being followed and that results in orders getting processed successfully leading to customer satisfaction and revenue
Another positive impact is that we are able to track any anomalies and any errors in the order flow and retry them so that users don't have a negative experience.
A negative point is that it is an overhead to maintain so there is significant engineering effort getting invested there
