Cetec ERP vs. Exact Globe+

For our business, Cetec ERP works very well because of all the capabilities it has with traceability, restrictions, and access, and having the data live for any user to see at the same time. The way the system is set up for order processing is more strict which is better for us since it helps with accuracy and traceability. For the production side, since our company is not a manufacturing site, it can be a little overwhelming since there are a lot of fields/data that we do not use, simply because it does not apply to us. Other than that module being a little too advanced for our company, all of the features included "out of the box" are well worth the affordable price that they have for this ERP system.

Exact Global is extensively used at EWS as a strategic tool of importance for managing our core Financial processes like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger accounts, Financial entries, Transactions etc. It is a critical tool for EWS and integrated with our ERP for a seamless operations of financial processes in the enterprise

• Training and Implementation.
• Support is great.

• Exact offers a large range of user defined fields, which is especially useful once you've built a base on the system and need to customize certain aspects. Just last week we added the ability to track customer training by model using custom UDFs.
• Engineering bills of material are tracked in Exact and the engineering BOM module is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Modification and drill down/up is not difficult once you figure out he basics.
• Inventory control is fairly simple and offers a lot of information and options to track different kinds of products. We use bulk and each UOMs primarily, but others are used regularly depending on application.

• Role Descriptions: There are default roles that Cetec ERP has already created for you. However, these roles are not detailed as to what access each role has and it makes it difficult to assign these default roles.
• Reporting: While Cetec ERP's default reports are detailed, there is only minimal customization of reports allowed out of the box. They do have an add-on available for purchase where you can freely customize reports, but our company isn't at that point to purchase this add-on as we only need a small bit of customization beyond what comes out of the box.

• Expand the commercial aliador network.

Cetec ERP is useful and fairly intuitive, but if you have a difficult time adapting to a ever-changing user interface, it may cause slight discomfort with every major update.

Exact Global is a strategic tool for financial core processes operations at EWS. It is integrated with ERP to seamlessly deliver key processes like O2C, P2P etc. and very well liked by users for its ease of use and flexibility of data moving across different systems. Exact Global is a part of EWS’s enterprise architecture and roadmap aligned to PACE strategy for achieving business objectives

Cetec ERP will answer support calls but depending on your level of service contract, it may cost you quick a bit per hour to solve the issues you have. E-mail support is always available and surprisingly responsive.

We had been a customer of Cetec on their Legacy system for 20+ years and were always satisfied with their product and support.

I've used other ERP systems in large organizations, one custom and one SAP. SAP is a very powerful suite of software, but comes at a price point that is unobtainable for many smaller companies. Exact is more realistic and accessible for smaller companies that are not necessarily global commodities, but instead smaller manufacturers in niche markets. I haven't had the opportunity to review many other options in this size range.

• Accuracy: Now that we can restrict access to approved users, our accuracy of inventory has improved.
• Financial Cleanup: Importing financials that were not yet balanced from previous system caused a ripple and we now have to clean up in this new system.

• Monitoring of production cost.
• Registration and documentation of engineering changes.
