Considered Multiple Products
Data.com (discontinued)
Chose Data.com (discontinued)
Data.com is free. That is definitely the most appealing part. You have nothing to lose, so might as well utilize an additional resource.
Chose Data.com (discontinued)
My client chose Data.com based on the experience during the evaluation period and the cost comparison. Data.com was the better-suited solution in this scenario. The size of the InsideView database was significantly smaller than Data.com and had limitations on downloads that …
Chose Data.com (discontinued)
What I have found is that no single platform provides all the data we need, even Data.com. There are often inconsistencies between the information found on Data.com versus other platforms so we are using Data.com in parallel with these other platforms. The interface and the …
Chose Data.com (discontinued)
The other crowd sourced data provider I've used is ZoomInfo. ZoomInfo generally has more direct numbers, however it appears as if they've done away with their free tier. The other downside of Zoom was you give them access to your email for them to data mine contacts. On the …
Chose Data.com (discontinued)
I have used data.com for about 6 months longer than ZoomInfo. Honestly, ZoomInfo seems to have more accurate data and the company bios are extremely helpful, as well as the integration in the form of an entire section of the page in Salesforce.
Chose Data.com (discontinued)
Currently I have subscriptions to ZoomInfo, Synthio, and GetEmail.IO in addition to my data.com (Jigsaw) account. ZoomInfo is much better than Data.com for direct phone numbers and is very reasonably priced. Synthio has slightly lower quality data but can be much cheaper on a …
Chose Data.com (discontinued)
Data.com is tightly integrated with Salesforce. Given the expensive cost of Salesforce licenses, throwing this as an "add-on" is easy to justify internally as well.
Chose Data.com (discontinued)
Data.com was very comparable to the other softwares our oganization uses, and we use it as an everyday tool because of how easy it is to work within salesforce. Our organization utilizes multiple platforms and competitors of Data.com, each for their own different reasons. The …
D&B Hoovers
Chose D&B Hoovers
We evaluated a few other tools including ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, but D&B Hoovers emerged as the best overall fit for our hotel sales use case due to its depth of company data, broad industry coverage, and powerful geographic filtering capabilities. Our primary …
Chose D&B Hoovers
D&B Hoovers stacks up well against the other tools, however our teams tend to use a combination of all 3, depending on their area of focus.
Chose D&B Hoovers
D&B Hoovers is more cost effective, and acts as a comprehensive data source, which is specially beneficial to teams like sales, where research and prospecting and lead gen is key
Chose D&B Hoovers
D&B is good at company info and data structure, all records have data (sic codes, industries, sales rev). Some of this data is correct some is not. For example, Sales Revenue for private companies can be extremely off and sometimes not updated for years. Also, Number of …
Chose D&B Hoovers
Zoominfo has much more rich data, longer lists of persons, and more accurate descriptions and estimation of business sizes, both in terms of revenue and personnel. However they are very focused on United States, so their coverage of other parts of the world is really limited. …
Chose D&B Hoovers
1. Value for Money 2. Data accuracy 3. High ROI 4. Easy to use 5. Excellent customer support.

In my present company I use both D&B Hoovers and ZoomInfo Sales OS. D&B is more robust, detailed and exhaustive than ZoomInfo. However, Zoominfo's upload list option is easier and …
Chose D&B Hoovers
For company data, D&B wins hands down. Contact and lead information is a toss-up. The information provided was usually a match to both, and I wouldn't say one was better than the other by a wide margin. It really depends on who you are researching. Both did not do well with …
Chose D&B Hoovers
we have both platforms and I use them interchangeably. D&B Hoovers is great because I can export more contacts. Zoom info is a bit more strategic with the use of filters like "with intent" and also has a better company overview page. Both are good platforms that can be used …
Chose D&B Hoovers
I feel like the D&B Hoovers company profile information is more accurate, whereas ZoomInfo has somewhat inflated numbers for annual revenues or employee headcount. When I compared the two companies a few years ago, the D&B Hoovers platform subscription was a bit higher annually …
Chose D&B Hoovers
In few of the platforms can't find accurate data and others not all the details of the company. In Hoovers all the data is available and easy to use.
Chose D&B Hoovers
Industrial Info Services is updated on a daily basis. While it might not have as many companies listed, we can request more information on any company and they will do the digging.
Chose D&B Hoovers
I use both systems currently to test the data accuracy between the two. Its too new to tell yet.
Chose D&B Hoovers
They are very good for targeting, however they don't provide sufficient account on the company if i were to plan a new client acquisition strategy. LI Sales Nav is also good, I like they way you can navigate a leads connections and include relevant ones from them, contact …
Chose D&B Hoovers
The company information provided by D & B hoovers is extremely in-depth and in detail, the accuracy of the information provided gives a very good idea about the prospective company and helps in making cohorts and evaluation fit. As compared to other companies D & B hoovers is …
Chose D&B Hoovers
While there are several softwares that offer similar options, Hoovers does stand above the others as one of the most accurate softwares I have used. They seem to put a lot of work into keeping their information up to date and accurate. It definitely makes the life of a …
Chose D&B Hoovers
D&B Hoovers is the industry standard. To even apply for government contracts obtaining a DUNS number is required. With D&B's far reach with other products like credit, they have a very large database. Add that to the relationships they have with other service providers and it …
Chose D&B Hoovers
D&B Hoovers and ZoomInfo are two of the products that our company uses for company information. I think that D&B Hoovers has better information on the company as a whole in terms of business description, revenue, hierarchy, etc. However, sometimes ZoomInfo's contact information …
Chose D&B Hoovers
Neither of these options is nearly as robust as D&B Hoovers in terms of the sheer amount of business data they offer when searching and generating lists. However, Crunchbase offers the option to reach out directly to prospects through its platform, which is quite valuable, and …
Chose D&B Hoovers
As our company is just recently trying out ZoomInfo, my understanding of the comparison is abridged; however, I believe ZoomInfo does its homework and truly keeps ahead of the most current updates in the company. In my opinion, it's clear that there is a larger team devoted to Z…
Chose D&B Hoovers
D&B had more information, the tool was easier to use and it was significantly less expensive that ZoomInfo. Apollo did not hold a candle to D&B.
Chose D&B Hoovers
It's great to be able to utilize D&B Hoovers to research Duns numbers, parent Duns, Global Ultimate Duns and all the related account fields.
Chose D&B Hoovers
I find [D&B] Hoovers to be the best of the 3 when I need to research large companies with complicated hierarchies. ZoomInfo is less useful for hierarchies, company structures, locations, etc., especially for companies with foreign sites. InsideView is almost as accurate and …
Chose D&B Hoovers
We use InsideView, ZoomInfo, and D&B Hoovers. All of them collect different data sources, and therefore provide different numbers when looking at revenue, employee count, and other account data.

D&B Hoovers was originally used, but ZoomInfo is the king of platforms for customer …
Chose D&B Hoovers
It's just more granular. It's good for very specific company data that other platforms don't have that level of specificity. To that end, I think they're very good at what they do compared to other tools like ZoomInfo.

Compared to ZoomInfo though, you kind of want to see D&B to …
GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo has much better depth and capabilities around advanced search, data exports. than Data.com.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo's level of detail and volume of contacts far exceeds that of Hoovers. Not even close.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo Sales has all the info in one place. No longer do you need to check 5 tools to verify info! Its all available in ZoomInfo Sales so it simplifies my day to day.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo SalesOS has a lot more features than Cognism. The US data may be better for US in ZoomInfo SalesOS; but it's hard to say as we use ZoomInfo SalesOS for our AMER based users and Cognism for EMEIA
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
Well, only seriously considered Cognism. It was a close evaluation, and price played a role, but more than anything was the Intent data. The website functionality was also a big plus for us, but the data quality in the US was comparable. International data was not superior to Co…
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo is D&B Hoovers + Mailchimp on steroids and with a much better UI. The data is always up to date and the filters available to the end user are much more rich. Campaign tracking data is much easier to dissect and the templates for email campaigns are more relevant.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
Zoominfo is easier and more seamless to use than Hoovers. Time is money. Anywhere you can save time translates into better profitability for an organization!
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
We chose ZoomInfo because they have a better reputation for having the accurate data and it was highly recommended by our peers. The insights they deliver are very valuable for us to understand which accounts are engaging.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
these old outdated products took way too long without the results. I had many times where I had wasted time with contact and only after reaching them did I find out they were the wrong contact all along. This was very frustrating and not a good use of time or resources.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo is far superior in quality of data and searches functionality
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
We live in the IT/Telephony space and 6Sense seems to be a bit stronger in their grasp of the Tech stack target companies are using, although their contact data seems a bit less accurate. Lead Forensics has always been a solid "C" to me, not really bad, not really good. …
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
I find ZoomInfo to be highly accurate with regard to revenue, employee numbers, and hierarchy data. I also like the Scoops feature. I use three databases for company data and refer to all of them several times a day to research customers and prospect companies. I find ZoomInfo …
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
I would say that ZoomInfo is stronger when it comes to individual contacts while Hoovers is a bit stronger on the overall company itself.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo stacks up against D&B Hoovers because it is easier to use. The filtering is also better in ZoomInfo and the most important thing which our team appreciates is that the quality of leads being generated here in ZoomInfo is superb and of great quality. It gives us mostly …
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
While there are other companies out there that pride themselves on more stringent data quality, most of them like the breadth of data that ZoomInfo provides. I feel like ZoomInfo has the best mix of data quality and coverage on the market. They are also able to be innovative …
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
We've found that this platform outperforms all others. We've used, evaluated, or otherwise decided to pass on numerous other platforms. All of which seemingly came up short of what ZoomInfo has to offer. The drilldown ability on numerous points has proved invaluable as we …
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
Great data - full featured and highly accurate.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
At one point we had both, and we found ZoomInfo data to be more accurate and more complete
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo data quality, accuracy and volume is far superior to previously evaluated platforms with similar functionality. This was single-handedly the biggest differentiator in our eyes when comparing the platform to previously used solutions and other solutions on the market in …
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
Hoovers data isn't very good. Not updated frequently enough. Demandbase is great, but too expensive.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo is better for contact level info, but D&B is better for company searches.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo has more updated and current data to use.
The bounce rate significantly decreased once we moved over to ZoomInfo.
The overall quality and depth of data seemed to be a step above the other products.
Chose GTM Workspace Powered by ZoomInfo
I like the ability to search and upload in ZoomInfo more than in Hoovers. I have found the ZoomInfo date more accurate than Hoovers. As far as company-specific information I think Hoovers has an advantage in that sense. But if you are searching for contacts ZoomInfo is heads …

There are many scenarios that make data.com well suited, but most specifically, it works very well when looking for contacts within a certain zip code. You can sort and find information about these contacts and pay by points. This helps because you are able to pick and choose which you want to pay for.

Prospecting corporate accounts near a hotel location. Our sales manager wants to generate a list of companies within a 5 mile radius that may need regular lodging for employees or contractors. D&B Hoovers will allow her to filer by geography, industry, company size and employee count. Then she can view detailed company profiles and contact decision-makers.

A scenario wherein ZoomInfo Sales is well-suited, as I said, is good for giving you the details, the intent, and scope for a specific person working at a very specific company, and also the initiatives that are currently going on in the organization. When it comes to updating a contact's email and phone number, it does so very accurately. Apart from that, the call script feature generates a call script immediately after the call connects, in three to four seconds. Then there is a customer mapping filter where you can find similar customers to your existing ICPs. And then when it comes to maybe the things or scenarios that are less appropriate, it's again the Chrome extension part. Also, on the onboarding part, we have experienced that the onboarding did not go that smoothly. The email generation part that ZoomInfo claims is quite good. For us, the result that came out was all four to five of our emails, the email template that we had made in ZoomInfo. So all these four to five emails had the same body, the same subject line, just we can say 98% of the email were same, just 2% change in them. And there is no scope for automation. You have to process each and everything manually, even today in ZoomInfo.

  • Zoominfo gives us the exaction info such as email address, Direct or Cell phone number of particular contact which we want and we don't get anywhere except zoominfo

Cons
Discontinued Products
  • Some contacts can be old. Perhaps they could consider validating some that are older than 5 years.
  • They don't always detect duplicate companies. For example, I've added the same company twice before, I don't understand how they allow that, or prevent others from adding duplicates. It doesn't happen very often,, only occasionally.
  • Sometimes data.com will "autocorrect" a job title incorrectly. For example, entering "Director of People & Culture" will autocorrect it to "Director of peopleandculture" If you don't catch it, it looks pretty bad for the next person who wants to view the contact.

  • I think maybe if they vetted the contacts that they're providing for those companies, it would be beneficial because I do use other avenues to vet the contacts because a lot of times I found that it is outdated information in D&B Hoovers, so that would be beneficial to us.

Very intuitive to use and I've never had any confusion with features. Anyone can create an account and use the platform simply by adding a contact or company into the database to earn points. Finance Analytics provides a more thorough company credit report and is more in-depth than Hoovers. There’s a few not listed. All in all, ZoomInfo Sales is an essential tool if you’re hunting hard and often. The AI functionality is superior to anything else I’ve used. However, if you’re a come and go, now and then prospector you can get by with other search engines that are “static” or seeming to be lacking in current data. LI Sales Nav is great, but you’re not going to get ahold of normal mid level people on there, and contact details are protected. The biggest competitive benefit here is you get everything you could possibly want to know, I’m not aware of any other product that can hang.

While it scales well and supports a broad range of users and functions, there might be some limitations depending on the size and complexity of the organization’s requirements. Overall, it provides a robust solution that can grow with your needs.4o mini

Dun & Bradstreet
  • D&B Hoovers allows me to make the most of my time when searching for companies within specific industries. Once I find a company and examine their profile, I can then generate a list of employees in the purchasing and engineering departments. The profiles for each listed employee contain cell phone, Email address and LinkedIn profile. This information helps me to bypass the companies front desk and get directly to the people I need to speak with.
  • By knowing the specific job title for the people that I am contacting and then being able to click on their LinkedIn link to learn a little about them before I make the call, I come across as a sales professional instead of an impersonal cold-caller.
  • In cases where I do need to go through a front desk receptionist whose primary mission is to screen out sales people, I find that three out of four times the receptionist will connect me to the specific employee because I know their name, department, and job title. The Intel provided by D&B Hoovers makes it possible for me to get to the people I need to speak with.
