Using LiveChat for the type of company I work for (inside sales - remote) is wonderful. Since we are not seeing our clients face to face, the chat feature on our website is amazing for helping assist others.

The only time it becomes a hassle is when the current client/chatter wants a direct call from the person they are chatting with. We try not to double dip in being logged into both the phone and chat at the same time, but we typically are able to resolve the issue without any pains.

Smith.ai has consistently delivered over 50 new client leads from the website and has nearly twice the return on investment as our business advertising. Since installing the service we have seen more FAQ type questions answered here than on the phone helping keep the front office focused on tasks and helping clients instead of answer the phone. The chat function is particularly beneficial for evening and weekend client and prospect inquiries.If all you are seeking is a simple chat interface that isn't connected to your appointments or payment system there are cheaper solutions.

  • Making it easier to find archived chats (having the option for just one's self)
  • Color scheme changes - maybe some darker colors, not as bright/whites
  • A different way of transferring to dept's and not just giving a direct transfer option as the first option.

  • Really nothing has been bad. The only thing that is a little challenging is dashboard which splits chat and phone reception services, which can be confusing. But still very workable.

Smith.ai pays for itself if we can help one site visitor move down our lead funnel to being a client. We have averaged over 50+ new leads each month since implementing the chat and with a close rate for becoming new clients that is double what our advertising PPC new client closing rate has been.

They all serve different purposes but LiveChat is the only platform that's actually just for chatting rather than for communication amongst remote employees. All systems work together though and for that, our teams run smoothly and communication is amazing!

I have not used other chat services. I use Smith.ai Receptionists and that service from Smith.ai has been flawless, so I went with them for chat as well.

  • Allows for new sales to come through easily. Makes it easier to explain the product and show as we go along.
  • API's allow for a ticket to be created with each chat (into our CRM) and allows us to keep track of the chatters throughout the day and log any information we may have missed.

  • Positive - Smith.ai has easily saved me $25k+ in receptionist costs. They probably helped me land another $50k in new business I would otherwise not have brought in the door because they immediately grabbed the client on our website so they didn't get away or have to wait 2 days for a call back. Great ROI (100 to 1 ROI is probably not an exaggeration for my law firm).
