Likelihood to Recommend Great for entry-level networking, and the cost-to-quality ratio is great for the average consumer. I've used them in a crawl space that is not climate controlled, and it just works and provides the switching capabilities I need. These are great for users that don't have a ton of experience and can simply try to troubleshoot with a simple power cycle.
Read full review I love this switch for access and aggregate, especially due to the lack of needing reboots. [Other systems require this] reliable and stable platform.
Read full review Pros Manage extra connections in a switched network. Provide good throughput for those extra connections. Easy to add into an existing network environment. Read full review They are relatively easy to configure and to maintain. They have all of the high-end configuration capabilities as Cisco switches. The switches have excellent performance and reliability. Read full review Cons Better advertisement about advanced enterprise features. (TP-Link and Zycel are the other major brands we use for simple switches.)
Read full review The switching holds up well against HP, Extreme, Juniper, et. al at the edge. Cost is also a huge factor, and played a part in the purchase. Not just for the switches themselves, but also optics can be purchased at a discount. Service delivery has been fantastic, and in 3 years I've not had to replace any of the brocade switches I've purchased.
Read full review Return on Investment Keeps our investment in infrastructure connections low because they can provide those connections. A lower cost alternative to adding in wall connections.
