they are both the same however the response times are the difference maker.

Maas360 response time is about 1-4 minutes while intune is about 20 secs to a minute.

response times are huge in our department with everything to get this out in a timely matter to get devices to our users

Setting up Intune is far easier, but as a management product, MaaS360 works better. If your looking at keeping your eggs in one Microsoft basket, Intune is the better option, but for those not bothered about multiple vendors, MaaS360 is the better option.

Maas 360 is the Cadillac of management software. Jamf was considered but I found it not quite as encompassing as Maas360. The ability too direct specific software programs and exclude all others was eventually what sent us to Maas360. Again, The time and effort to configure Maas360 is significant for a small business but in the end it paid for itself in data charges that were a lot lower than buying the dats that had be.en previously used.

We all know the big guys are VMWare WorkSpace 1, SOTI, Mobile Iron, and Intune. There are hundreds of other MDM solutions apart from the latter. While most solutions are very comparable in functionality AND all share the same technology in order to function, the real measurable is the availability of support and ongoing education resources. These are vital for both on-boarding and then ongoing management of the solution.
Having been involved in this industry for almost 18 years, it is vitally clear IBM and the IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson solution are at the top of the list for available technical support and ongoing education. As an IBM Security Champion, I have experienced the best and the worst with about 25 MDM solutions, including IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson. For me, it has been a no-brainer selecting IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson for these reasons.

I basically loved the set up and administration of this leading UEM tool which was pretty easy and convenient. It allows admin user to remove content from company-owned devices easily through the selective wipe feature which allows us to be still in control of our organisational data and let the end user comply wit BOYD policy. I love the ability to track our devices remotely and set up mobile data groups and turn off data if limit is reached is great improvement of our security.

IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson is the main MDM worth buying for dealing with a corporate MDM, it gets a better than expected rating only for the rule that it's the main utilitarian help.

It provides Administrator capabilities for granting access to corporate applications or data on Mobile devices and securely monitoring and managing mobile devices that have sensitive business data. It stores essential information about mobile device so admin can decide which application or data can be present on the devices and even track device location IT admin can erase corporate data from enrolled devices in case devices is lost/stolen or if user leaves organization. Corporate data are stored in separate containers and in a secure manner or BYOD Administrator has the capability for preventing data leakage by creating DLP policy based on Organization requirements. I believe MaaS360 has many more policy based choices than Meraki when it comes to Apple mobile device management. The MaaS360 suite seemed better suited for our SMB needs. However Meraki is also a decent MDM and is professionally built for enterprise use. In the end we chose MaaS360 because of its on-boarding process and ease of use out of the gate. Meraki required more time to learn the ins and outs.

Apple tends to recommend Jamf for mobile device management. We chose to use IBM MaaS360 since it can be bundled with our cell carrier's contract. This gives us a lower cost product that delivers the features we needed out of this type of service. Additionally, our carrier is able to automatically add devices purchased through them to our IBM MaaS360 account, which saves a little bit of time for us.

We have never used Jamf, but looking back it seems like it might have been a better choice. When our contract with IBM MaaS360 comes close to ending, we will more closely evaluate alternatives.
