IBM MaaS360 with Watson is a comprehensive Unified Endpoint Manager (UEM) platform that enables applications and content with security on any device, anytime, anywhere. Any device can be protected, including Android, Windows, iOS and Mac. Not only this, one can simply gain visibility and control over iOS, macOS, Android, and Windows devices, as well as the Internet of Things (IoT). It just requires easy registration and a perfect balance between productivity and privacy for users.

Secure and easy to use and implement. It configures for controlling mobile devices. It also lets you manage laptops.
  • Monitor all our company cellphones and tablets in one place.
  • Restrict just about anything that appears on our remote employee tablets.
  • Impressive amount of control over mobile devices.
  • Ease of use and vendor responsiveness is key to any product.
  • It does allow an extensive amount of control including exchange management, locking and unlocking devices remotely.
It provides Administrator capabilities for granting access to corporate applications or data on Mobile devices and securely monitoring and managing mobile devices that have sensitive business data. It stores essential information about mobile device so admin can decide which application or data can be present on the devices and even track device location IT admin can erase corporate data from enrolled devices in case devices is lost/stolen or if user leaves organization. Corporate data are stored in separate containers and in a secure manner or BYOD Administrator has the capability for preventing data leakage by creating DLP policy based on Organization requirements. Single sign-on access for Corporate application can be extended by next-generation authentication such as Biometric and more.

Pros:

  • The ability to add new users and devices is pretty easy.
  • Overall I need to give it a good mark because it does what we want it to.
    Secure and easy to use and implement. I won't name names, but I have used other UEM systems and this one takes the cake for being all-around the best product for your company and clients you support.
Cons:

  • The UI is a pain to navigate, functions don't notify you if they are executed successfully or not, and app updates won't work for no reason and manually updating them is also a pain.
  • Once a device is lost, you have to continue to pay for a license on that device or it becomes unlocked and the end-user can take control of it.
  • Notifications for the app work sometimes and not work other times. IT doesn’t know what would cause this problem.
