We installed a Google analytics API to track app and website performance where viewers can access the stream. The IBM metics interface is good but we have not had to use it directly from the dashboard.

By reviewing the engagement metrics, the school might notice that videos incorporating interactive quizzes and real-world problem-solving scenarios hold students' attention longer and have higher rewatch rates. This insight could lead to the creation of more content following this successful format, thereby improving educational outcomes by tailoring content to student preferences and engagement patterns. This approach demonstrates a strategic use of engagement metrics to refine educational content and teaching methods for better student engagement and learning experiences

We were able to capture the number of viewers, their location and various devices both in real-time and post-video streaming. This allowed us to develop extensive reports to provide the marketing department, and in turn, the executives at my organization. It also allowed us to further identify the geographic location of our audience and where we could better focus future marketing efforts of exclusive video content.

The dashboard is very good but for one shortfall. If you have more than one live event on one day, the analytics for two or more events get commingled. It is hard to separate the data. This has been an issue for years for us. Seems like an easy fix.

[Updated review on 10/2020: Just this past month, the company introduced automated streaming reports that its customers can download in a PDF format. This was long overdue, but appreciated. Before that, we had to download excel sheets, do our calculations, and create reports for delivery to managers.]

The metrics console has provided valuable insight into the reach of our organization. While we are based in Michigan, we have been finding that we attract viewers from all over the United States, and occasionally world-wide. Also having the knowledge of how many users view our stream via our website on mobile devices has changed the way we've developed our web content surrounding the stream.

The metrics are very helpful, and the breakdown is clear and useful. We provide our clients with a full set of metrics after every event that allows them to adjust their viewership and plan better for future events.

I have used this feature and I appreciate it a lot. I like being able to know how many people are using the service, exactly when they are using it, what devices they're using, and their locations,

The metrics are ok, but are not detailed enough, we often need to see per-user metrics, how long did an exact user watch, etc. This would go hand in hand with the ability to have a registration portal for viewers.
Please refer to Zoom.us for examples of stats that might be useful.

Our company uses the metrics to see if people are watching our videos, tracking how many view each video and understanding what content is watched more. This actively helps us tailor our services and our deliverables more effectively—this, in turn, helps our organization grow in a number of ways.

Those details help us understand the basics, making sure we can see who is watching. However, they lack any real useful data like rebuffer events, startup time, which bit rate is being watched, etc.

Yes, for any given live event, our team uses the metrics console to report on total views. The challenge has been that the console needs to be refreshed in order for the updated number to appear. It would be beneficial if the console were more user-friendly and could be shared externally with stakeholders.

The best example of user metrics is when using the streaming service to stream our graduation to families worldwide. It gives us a great idea as to how far and wide our student's families live, wheat languages we need to consider for future content etc

No, because our audience has been fairly small. It's all things I will use however. I usually a lot of similar tools to monitor my website, for example.

The primary thing is realizing that anything that we want a lot of people to see will be put on a free streaming network like Youtube or something like it. There is no way we can let a ton of people on a stream since you DO NOT have flat rate pricing. I can understand why, but you can understand why people can't use your platform for every single live stream purpose. Thus, it's going to boil down to price, like it usually does for most things. Best price with best quality wins. If you want to disrupt the industry, this would be the place to start.
