Network monitoring is the problem which ManageEngine OpManager has taken care.This is very good application for realtime monitoring. We appreciate the ability to automate certain troubleshooting tasks by creating workflows. It's a basic feature, but makes a big difference for us.

- Needs physical infrastructure to install the application which can be simplified using cloud.
We monitor our servers with ManageEngine OpManager. We check services, and disk space utilization, and make sure the RDP port is responding. When we do our monthly maintenance and restart all of the servers, a quick check-in ManageEngine OpManager verifies that everything rebooted successfully and all the processes started as expected. Saves a ton of time and keeps us from doing things manually.
- We changed our RDP port to a non-standard port and monitor servers by that instead of a simple ping. Systems that are busted will still respond to pings.
- The dashboard shows us any drives that are almost full. We check this when we do our monthly maintenance.
- Monitoring Windows services and event log events and sending notifications when things don't behave as expected.
- I genuinely don't have any negative feedback for the product.
- I've used many competitor products and this one is my favorite.

ManageEngine OpManager: Affordable and Easy to Use
We use ManageEngine OpManager to monitor nearly every device in our environment, including wireless access points, network switches, virtual servers, physical servers, Linux servers, windows servers, and everything in between. Across these devices, we monitor many things. We like having the ability to monitor CPU usage, RAM usage, storage across multiple drives, storage in specific directories, ping, windows services, and uptime. Some business problems the product addresses are device availability and storage alerts. It's crucial we know as soon as possible when a device is down and ManageEngine OpManager's custom alerting and notification system is great for letting the correct people know a problem exists within minutes of it happening. As for storage, ManageEngine OpManager allows us to configure alerts in a very precise way so that we know when things are starting to fill up and when things need more urgent attention.

ManageEngine OpManager, A Great Product!
We are using ManageEngine OpManager to monitor our servers' availability, Disk, Memory, and CPU threshold violations. We monitor disk space usage on workstations as well as Network Gear availability and high utilization. We also utilize the reporting functionality to generate and auto-email our team alerts when a threshold is crossed, or an outage of any device is detected.

We use it to monitor our network & network equipment. It also provides us real time alerts based on our criteria so we know of an issue & have minimal downtime.

- Range of products it supports
- Integration with other products from ManageEngine. e.g. Application manager - there is no seamless login. Downtime scheduling needs to be done on both products.
- Vmware - There is option to monitor only physical CPUs. e.g. each node of our VMware host has 2 CPUs, which has 24 virtual CPUs. When we get high CPU alert we get 24 alerts for the same issue.
- Banner ads - on the login screen & the product itself. Granted they're about ManageEngine but i would like the option to turn them off permanently.

The Best Product for the SMB's at this Price Segment
- The Support Team is tremendous, If there is any support needed Technically like to create a custom monitoring for a new product if we provide the required MIB file they can create in a minute
- The Interface in pretty much easy to understand even for a beginner
- The Deployment is not an hassle.
- There are many open source products like Nagios etc, even we have tested out that product the customization in that product will be like hassle.
- This product is a worth buying for this price range, as far as monitoring concern
- Even ManageEngine OpManager has Cloud version we can simply use it as an SaaS product

We use ManageEngine OpManager to monitor the physical and virtual Infrastructure and triggering and generate alarms after hitting the predefined Threshold value therefore It helps to minimize downtime and the meantime resolve. Using ManageEngine OpManager, we have reduced the time administrators take to perform daily checklists almost to zero, therefore increasing the overall productivity time.

OpManager - A Good Choice For IT Infrastructure Monitoring
I use ManageEngine OpManager mainly to monitor the server infrastructure at headquarters and remote branches. The monitoring system is integrated with the IT Helpdesk system (ManageEngine Service Desk Plus) in my environment, which allows to quickly respond to critical alerts in the IT infrastructure. The graphical user interface is very user friendly.

ManageEngine OpManager came highly recommended when we went to the market for a Network Device Monitoring Solution. Our requirements for a solution in this regard were surpassed with the product's capabilities, and the licensing cost were within the allocated budget. Deployment was straightforward and well documented, also technical support offered by the ManageEngine PitStop platform is very good and responsive. Monitoring of device availability is the main aspect of this solution we use. This gives us good visibility of device state and resource utilization. Notification profiles allow devices in error or exceeding configured thresholds to be alerted to device administrators and stakeholders. Overall experience exceeded expectations.

- Notification Profiles allow us to be immediately notified when any monitored devices are in an error state or exceeding thresholds
- Installation, configuration, and deployment of this solution are straightforward and well documented
- Not all discovered devices can have their vendor, device, serial number, etc., details automatically populated during discovery. Manually having to enter the specific details for these devices was a little time-consuming but not really an issue.
- Removal of decommissioned devices can be awkward if not done prior to device decommissioning.
- OTP at login does not always work first time, usually, 2 -3 attempts are needed when logging on to the dashboard with OTP.

Recently we made market checkup for monitoring software and found out that ManageEngine has some unique features needed in our environment and price is a quite lower. Idea to have central place for monitoring network devices, servers and virtual vmware environment + some applications (databases, ibm mq, java apps...) lead us to that product. So we started migration from existing solution to ManageEngine.

We work with MSP and their end-clientele across Australia, and understand their unique requirement to gain visibility on Hybrid Infrastructure. Doing so, we cascade personalized Demo of ManageEngine OpManager ensuring it caters to client requirements. Internally, we use ManageEngine OpManager to monitor our Hybrid Infrastructure wherein 3D NOC Dashboard proactively alerts us of potential faults in Servers, Networks, and even Applications. ManageEngine OpManager is quite flexible, giving our clients the flexibility to pick and choose Infrastructure monitoring modules per their unique requirements such as capturing errors/metrics for Network bandwidth, IPAM/SPM, or APM. At the same time, the Unified console offers end-to-end visibility on the entire Infrastructure. OpManager with its strong product roadmap, continual enrichment since the past decade, Simplified UI i.e. easily navigable has gained client trust from across different geographies.

Get a top-down view into the traffic and usage of your org!
I use ManageEngine OpManager to give me a top-down view of traffic usage throughout my organization and by location. The centralized console and being able to track the source and destination of traffic is indispensable.
- Central Console for top-down view.
- Custom alerts to alert me of high-traffic usage.
- Custom reports for management.
- The interface can be complicated for novice users.
- Updates are continually released, lots of downtime to upgrade.
- Occasionally product MIBs are not available.

Good tool, however, it's a bit expensive
We use the demo of this system, we find it very interesting and functional, however, the monitoring of the network has already been outsourced and we do not currently use it

OpManager is Jack of all trades, master of none!
I used to use SolarWinds products for years but it got to be too expensive for renewals and too complicated to setup and configure. I made the switch to ManageEngine OpManager years ago and never looked back. I am always able to get all of the server and network monitoring configured in less than an hour with ManageEngine without having to reach out to any sort of support. Patching/updating OpManager is also a lot simpler than SolarWinds. It does a lot of stuff for the price but ManageEngine is starting to get bad about breaking out some of the monitoring features and charging for them as add-ons. Overall a great product that I would recommend to anyone!
- Does great with real-time server monitoring using ping/WMI.
- Great for viewing switch port status in real time.
- Gives you an overall dashboard for your network and server stuff in one place.
- It would be good if they would update more often. Upgrade history seems to be slowing on new versions/features the last couple of years.
