Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine OpManager

ManageEngine OpManager came highly recommended when we went to the market for a Network Device Monitoring Solution. Our requirements for a solution in this regard were surpassed with the product's capabilities, and the licensing cost were within the allocated budget. Deployment was straightforward and well documented, also technical support offered by the ManageEngine PitStop platform is very good and responsive. Monitoring of device availability is the main aspect of this solution we use. This gives us good visibility of device state and resource utilization. Notification profiles allow devices in error or exceeding configured thresholds to be alerted to device administrators and stakeholders. Overall experience exceeded expectations.
  • Device uptime and status is clearly visible in the dashboard
  • Notification Profiles allow us to be immediately notified when any monitored devices are in an error state or exceeding thresholds
  • Installation, configuration, and deployment of this solution are straightforward and well documented
  • Not all discovered devices can have their vendor, device, serial number, etc., details automatically populated during discovery. Manually having to enter the specific details for these devices was a little time-consuming but not really an issue.
  • Removal of decommissioned devices can be awkward if not done prior to device decommissioning.
  • OTP at login does not always work first time, usually, 2 -3 attempts are needed when logging on to the dashboard with OTP.
  • Production Device monitoring for uptime and resource usage
  • Notification alerts to Administrators and Stakeholders
  • Peace of mind that issues and outages are alerted to us when and as they occur allows us to react proactively to outages and production issues.
  • Less downtime experienced due to production device outages
  • Thresholds coupled with alerts allow us to respond and proactively address overutilization of resources on monitored devices (e.g., being notified that a production file share server is approaching full disk capacity utilization before being filled allows us to increase disk space or remove older/unneeded files before production impact to end users is experienced)
  • Less time spent manually checking and auditing devices individually
ManageEngine OpManager is the best, most suitable Network Device Monitoring solution I have used. It is straightforward to setup, configure, administrate and tailor. It also has a very good UI and a comprehensive device Template repository.

Do you think ManageEngine OpManager delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ManageEngine OpManager's feature set?

Yes

Did ManageEngine OpManager live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ManageEngine OpManager go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ManageEngine OpManager again?

Yes

This solution is well-suited for monitoring Server and Networking devices. Being able to tell (and be notified) when devices are offline or are exceeding thresholds (e.g., Device Drive is exceeding threshold utilization, CPU usage high, services stopped, etc.) allows us to react to and address issues quickly. There are Device Templates for all major manufacturers and models, which makes device grouping and setup very simple. The AutoDiscovery feature, when used for device onboarding, is quite good and makes initial configuration and setup very straightforward. This solution would not be appropriate for use on standard Desktop or laptop Devices.
