Merchants have found Midigator to be a valuable tool in mitigating chargebacks and preventing potential losses. By utilizing the platform, users receive alerts via email from the dashboard, allowing them to respond promptly within 24 hours and resolve issues before they escalate into chargebacks. The Midigator Dashboard serves as a centralized hub for managing chargebacks across multiple Merchant IDs, saving time and effort by consolidating gateways. This feature has been highly beneficial for businesses as it streamlines the process and eliminates the need to switch between different platforms. Additionally, Midigator provides early alerts, enabling users to address client concerns directly and resolve any issues before they result in chargebacks. By resolving disputes proactively, merchants can maintain customer satisfaction and prevent future occurrences of chargebacks.

One area where Midigator could improve is the delivery of alerts, which some users have found to be clunky at times. This can require additional staff effort in advocating for credits in certain instances. However, despite this minor inconvenience, many businesses have experienced significant benefits from using Midigator. Some have reported up to a 75% decrease in chargeback rates after implementing the platform. This reduction not only saves money but also reduces stress and effort associated with managing chargebacks manually.

Furthermore, users praise the friendly and helpful support provided by the Midigator staff, which makes collaboration seamless and enhances the overall experience for merchants. The platform's ability to track and analyze chargebacks is another valuable feature that helps identify specific issues and mitigate risks effectively. By organizing chargebacks and ensuring the safety of Merchant IDs, Midigator saves time, money, and effort for businesses while reducing chargeback rates. Overall, Midigator proves to be an indispensable tool for merchants seeking to proactively manage chargebacks and protect their revenue streams.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

We primarily use Midigator for chargeback prevention. We're planning to start using it for disputes as well.
  • Alerts for disputes that have been filed
  • Easy to use interface for addressing disputes in Preventflow
  • Offer professional services for setting up Dispute Flow responses.
  • Try to get the person's name in the disputes. This is likely because that's all the data the processors provide, but if we could have the name, we could process these in about half the time.
Well suited for addressing disputes before they become official chargebacks (PreventFlow). We've not yet started using the DisputeFlow to work chargebacks that have already come in. We still use our merchant processor's interface for that.

I'd to see more incorporation of RDR into the online interface. Right now, we just receive spreadsheets. In the notifications section, I have set up notifications for chargeback and prevention reports but don't see anything for RDR.

As the admin of Midigator, I'd like to have greater control over user management, particularly in setting up new users in our organization. There's nothing in the online interface with this.
  • Prevent Flow
  • This has helped to decrease the number of chargebacks reported to our merchant processor as we're using a combination of PreventFlow and Rapid Dispute Resolution through Midigator.
Similar offerings, however, during the set-up process, Chargebacks 911 asked for detailed personal information on the principal owner of our organization. We were not comfortable with assigning corporate liability to an individual person.

Myself as admin and two in customer service.
1
Mostly just me in the admin role.
  • Minimizing chargebacks going to our merchant processor
Midigator does what we need and doesn't try to add a bunch of confusing extra functionality we don't need.
Yes
We did not have any product like Midigator beforehand.
  • Product Usability
Product usability and engagement with the sales and onboarding team.
I'd probably pay better attention to the administrative features in the dashboard interface. Additionally, if we were considering moving to a competitor, I'd ask about RDR.
For the core function of PreventFlow, Midigator is very easy to use. DisputeFlow requires additional setup. I'd like to see more data on RDR transactions in the dashboard.
  • PreventFlow
  • None really

We utilize Midigator with a multi-faceted approach.
1) We use Midigator, most importantly as a chargeback mitigation tool. We receive alerts via email directly from the Midigator dashboard, and we have 24 hours to respond to the Prevention Alert. We approach these alerts quickly and efficiently, and it helps our company prevent numerous chargebacks as well as save significant dollars each month. The system essentially pays for itself over time.
2) We use the Midigator Dashboard as a hub to respond to chargebacks (when unable to be prevented) across our multiple Merchant IDs (MIDs). We have had up to 4 MIDS at one time, and each of them had its own gateway, and it became difficult to manage (numerous logins, sign-ins). By consolidating all of those gateways onto Midigator's Dashboard, we save hours per week, tens of hours per month, and prevent headaches by not having to navigate several sites to execute one simple task.
  • Business to Client Interaction - Midigator employees respond quickly to client requests
  • Empowers their employees to make decisions in the best interest of the client they are serving
  • Helps prevent chargebacks/disputes
  • Saves their clients time and money
  • Ease of use
  • Consolidates multiple MIDs under one room for easy management and monitoring
  • Prices their products and services competitively
  • Instead of using a real-time google sheet to manage MIDs being monitored, perhaps an online form that's easy to access and revisit.
  • Perhaps have an algorithm that scans merchant descriptors in the wild and proposes the best descriptors to include for future alerts - a scientific way to widen the net.
  • Have one account manager that is more of a concierge-style for the lifespan of the client - but I'm just really trying hard to find something.
Midigator is well suited to serve small, medium, and large businesses alike. Our company has been able to experience the use of Midigator across all three business sizes, and we never felt like Midigator was lacking. We are big fans and hope to use it for quite some time to come. I cannot currently think of an area where Midigator wouldn't be helpful for any business that conducts any sort of e-commerce where a credit card is accepted.
  • Chargeback Prevent Alerts
  • Chargeback Response Alerts
  • Daily Chargeback Report
  • Midigator Dashboard (a hub for where we conduct nearly all merchant processing response action)
  • Positive - we've saved a lot of money with prevention alerts that would have gone into a dispute status costing tens to hundreds of dollars per dispute. The prevention alerts allow us the ability to take care of the client and avoid going down the dispute road.
  • We have not really seen any negative ROI. This has helped us manage a health chargeback rate well below industry guidelines and increase consumer confidence along the way.
  • We have been able to move forward in confidence, knowing that our merchant processing status is in good shape by being able to prevent disputes and take good care of our clients. We recommend Midigator to our colleagues.
We utilized Kount and Midigator concurrently for a short period of time. I have zero negatives to share about Kount, but we did not continue with them because we found Midigator to fill all of our current needs. In all truth, Kount and Midigator paired well together to cast a wide net on potential chargebacks/disputes, and it helped us gain an edge in preventing them. We moved on from Kount because it did not yield as many prevention notices as Midigator, but should the need arise and our budget increase, we'd likely team up to include them to compliment Midigator in having the best chargeback midigator system ever.
No system is perfect, but Midigator is always in pursuit of perfection. I give them high marks for always trying their best to continue adding value.
  • Downloading dispute information
  • Submitting chargeback dispute responses
  • Managing users
  • Making sure login credentials for each MID gateway were current and regularly updated on the Midigator sheet
  • Making sure email filtering was set up properly in Gmail to make sure Midigator got the login pin numbers emailed to them.
