QuoteWerks and QuoteValet are the platforms that our Sales and Accounting Departments use on a daily basis. It is used to prepare/deliver quotes, email quotes to customers/prospects, and to process orders without having to transcribe everything into QuickBooks. We also have it integrated with Sage CRM.

Book Systems sells Integrated Library Software to all types of libraries. We have had several quoting software programs and by far the learning curve for QuoteWerks is minimal and the program works very well. Because we also have QuoteValet, we don't have to attach quotes to emails which typically keeps them from going into the recipient's SPAM folder. I especially love that you can get text message notifications when customers accept their quotes.

We use QuoteWerks mainly for quoting out bids to our clients. It is an easy tool and when needing to also use the financing option it is nice to provide that to our clients as well. QuoteWerks addresses multiple business problems as it helps in gaining that prospect client when sending them a professional looking quote for hardware or any services we provide in a timely manner. QuoteWerks makes it easy to do that.

We saw the need to acquire QuoteWerks because our quoting system was very manual. Now with this software, we streamline the entire process. The start-up was done very quickly because it had a customer service that accompanied us at all times, and until the entire installation was ready, they did not leave us, and that made us very happy because we knew that if at any time we needed their help, we called them and they helped us right away.
  • We put together quotes very easily and very quickly.
  • Integrates seamlessly with the sales and accounting team.
  • The great advantage of QuoteWerks is that it has a very low learning curve. The ease of use makes a novice look like a professional.
  • I don't like that it doesn't have a cloud version because if it did, it would make our work easier, we could better integrate it with other software, and we'd get better results.
If, at first, you have problems of any kind, you should contact the technical support team. They will be the guarantors of the solution to your problem and will guide you so that it does not happen again.

We use QW for all outside sales proposals and for reoccurring service inspections. QWs integration with QuickBooks is a great time saver. Also, the integration with HubSpot and Salesforce is great too.

QuoteWerks is, in theory, the best quoting tool on the market today. Quotes can be used from many customizable templates that QuoteWerks provides us with according to our requirements. It has an amazing integration feature with excellent third-party software (e.g., ConnectWise, which saves us a lot of time and money). QuoteWerks is the best ally for us to have everything in order and be able to send all our already quoted documents smoothly and make our clients feel satisfied.
  • QuoteWerks gives us the possibility to choose which lines we can use for each order and which of these lines will be projected at the time of final printing.
  • QuoteWerks has the facility to adjust many factors within its work panel, which makes it easy to quote in one or several windows.
  • QuoteWerks gives us the option to create groups or assemblies within the same project and this does not affect the prices that are handled within the monthly invoice.
  • They should give a trial period of at least 15 days so that novice customers can choose QuoteWerks without any inconvenience, as it is a big disadvantage for those who have no knowledge of this great software.
  • QuoteWerks customer service sometimes takes longer than the mandatory 72 hours to respond, which slows down work when quick solutions are needed.
  • When reorganizing quotes, we would like to have the ability to drag an entire group thanks to the header that is configured for each group.
Thanks to QuoteWerks, we have been able to move away from complex spreadsheets, which make it very cumbersome to be able to quote freely under a large number of items. We have been able to assemble the power of QuoteWerks to quote multiple reports and overcome those complex situations. QuoteWerks is well worth the investment of time and money and we highly recommend it.

Being in sales, I often need a way to turn the customer's needs, into financial information. Quotewerks has given me the ability to easily "spell out" all costs associated with the customer's purchase, ensuring a smooth transaction. This saves time for the customers and allows me to take more clients in a day.
  • Great tool for giving the customer a perfect breakdown of their purchase
  • Allows me to stay organized with my follow ups on potential sales
  • Makes any changes to the customer quote easy, allowing the customer to compare products vs cost
  • The learning curve was a little rough, but got easier as I understood.
  • Sometimes it will glitch when sending an email and say it bounced but the customer really did get it.
  • The UI isn't the most attractive but I supposed that could be more of a personal preference.
There are a lot of times that I can be taking on more than one client at a time, having to run back from one desk to the other with my laptop. QuoteWerks definitely makes it easy to flip back and forth between quotes and manage more than one deal at a time. This is huge for making my day when it is busy.

I use QuoteWerks to send quotes to clients. It allows me to use previous quotes as a template and easily use them again for another quote, as they are always fairly similar. It lets me know when the quote has been read, and questions can be asked or issues raised. it basically saves a load of time and looks more professional.

  • It allows separate lines for labor (our biggest sales).
  • The user and client can easily go back and fourth.
  • The user interface of competitors is slightly more "Modern looking".
  • A live microsite would be nice for smaller clients.
  • I would like if it had more personalization to make quotes stand out, videos etc.
QuoteWerks is perfect for sending in RFQs to larger OEMs etc. They get a clear picture of how much a job will cost and, most people in management are familiar with how to use it. Finance, management, and higher-ups can also then view quotes easily and sign them off. This means a quicker route to a sale.

QuoteWerks is a robust tool that demonstrates with tangible results what can be in charge of sales management in conjunction with our CRM, we have noticed that we can create a robust system that can improve work management and without a doubt also improves the customer experience. The sales department is satisfied with the results obtained to date, these results range from simple electronic signatures that speed up the direct relationship with the client and to a complex system such as integration with our CRM. It has the feature of sending notifications of the quotes that we have sent to our clients, this helps to know in detail if the client has read our quote and thus we can send offers according to the characteristics of each client.

QuoteWerks was a great tool (as seen from a volunteer perspective), in selling to clients and effectively quoting proposals. The software was easy to use and it integrated well with the other systems that were operational.

In terms of generating quotes and proposals, QuoteWerks was easy to use and continually got better with each update. The ability to integrate with existing systems was also extremely useful because it allowed users to stay within their workflow. Occasionally, if you were working on a project that was more complex were multiple proposals needed drafting, things would become a bit more difficult.

It is being used by the sales team and by purchasing. We got it because we moved to ConnectWise and wanted a quoting solution that integrated with ConnectWise so we would have to enter the same information multiple times. We also use it to create proposals on projects as we are able to use templates to ensure wording is kept the same.
  • Create quotes.
  • Have multiple templates for quotes/proposals - this is good as you may want to include different information depending on product lines quoted, but at the same time make sure the same information is included everytime you quote the same thing.
  • Enforcing rules on who can edit quotes so you don't have to worry about people making changes to someone else's quotes.
  • For the last year everytime ConnectWise updates we have issues with the saving/link between ConnectWise and quotewerks.
  • Error messages while saving & tech support takes a while to fix.
I would recommend it if they were using ConnectWise. It is cheaper than the other solutions we looked at. But I would warn them that everytime ConnectWise updates you have to expect problems and immediately update QuoteWerks if you haven't already.

The business problem this resolved was eliminating "napkin quotes" and standardizing our client offerings. It assisted in simplifying the sales-to-service process.
  • Provides customized quotes. It was easy for us to create customized quotes, including necessary attachments for different types of sales. This streamlined our quoting process tremendously.
  • Connection to ConnectWise is seamless. It is very easy to follow a quote, find and review a quote, both current and past without losing a great deal of time.
  • Simplified quote creation process. Easy to customize, find, organize products to meet the needs of the sale without losing the standardization.
  • The spell check feature is by the most annoying feature. It checks every little thing and usually you can't even tell what it is checking.
QuoteWerks has been great in improving the accuracy and standardizing our sales process throughout the company.

We are using QuoteWerks on the sales team for quoting equipment package deals. QuoteWerks is powerful in that it not only can quote all different combinations of items and build proposals, but it walks the sales rep through complicated configure/price/quote steps, maximizing profitability on deals and driving consistency. It seems to be tailored to IT businesses, but it works with all sorts of retail and service use cases.
  • Configure/price/quote.

  • App integration. It requires a 3rd party tool to integrate with Pipedrive CRM.
  • Web-based functionality is limited.
  • Retail financing options are limited and require complicated imports.
For products that are heavily configured, or involve packaging lots of SKUs, QuoteWerks is a strong fit. Businesses just selling a couple of products or services don’t need this tool.

Anyone in any sort of quoting business can utilize QuoteWerks. It can be difficult to navigate sometimes so not an easy interface for new hires and would require a decent amount of training.

QuoteWerks is being used within a single department to send quotes to customers and manage the quote status (quoted, approved, rejected, etc). Quotes are sent and approvals are received back via email. We also generate invoices, but those are not sent to the customer. They are only generated as a means to have a queue of what charges need to be entered into our billing system. Some limited reporting functionality is also used.
  • Integration via the QuoteWerks Web Connector. This allows us to script hyperlinks in our project management system that can be used to generate quotes in QuoteWerks.
  • Managing a quote queue: We had originally started designing an Access database for this purpose, but decided to purchase QuoteWerks since it already had the functionality we were going to build.
  • Custom Product Database: since we ar a data services department, there isn't an available database that will have our products pre-built.
  • Would like to have the ability to have a cost range on a quote. We are a service-based department and charge hourly. We are unable to provide an exact quote; just an estimate. QuotWerks does not have a great solution for this.
  • Installation is a little cumbersome. A complete web-based SAAS version would be nice.
  • We could never get the LDAP integration to work, so we have to maintain our customer database manually.
QuoteWerks is well suited for product-based quoting and invoicing. It is less well suited for service based organizations. We have had to come up with some creative work-arounds to make it fit our needs.

We use it through the entire process from quoting to ordering to procurement and billing. We have it tied into our CRM program as well as our accounting software for a full sales experience. I can send customer a quote, collect payment online through Quote Valet, track modifications and revisions as well as job costing with the purchasing module.
  • Clean interface that has grown through the years without becoming clumsy or cluttered allowing a sales rep to keep the familiar feeling while they grow new tools and implement new features.
  • Purchasing interface works well and allows tracking to be simplified for PO's effecting multiple customer orders.
  • Tracking changes in a quote through the properties field allows us to easily see when i change was made and who made it.
  • I would love to see the layout designer modified. It is very old school and while a geek can use it, it is not intuitive to my users which funnels our requests back to me.
  • Email logging of POs, we have a work around but that is always a messy thing and should be able to be better tracked through the CRM link.
  • The purchasing module being able to stay open while working on other quotes/documents to cut down time between modules or just making the connection between the two a bit quicker.
I can see how great it would be for the tech sector with live product connections. I can also see how it would not work for someone with sole custom equipment. It does well for configurable equipment but wouldn't be good in my opinion for completely custom one off equipment. I also wish the rules could be set per product line or had more if than statements available given the wide number of factories we rep.

We use QuoteWerks for all of our quoting services to our customers. It allows us to integrate into ConnectWise and pull information and pricing from our distributors, Ingram Micro and Tech Data. We use QuoteWerks across departments within our company, the only ones not using it are engineers. It allows us to seamlessly incorporate our ConnectWise information into our quotes and provide professional quotes to our customers.
  • QuoteWerks integrates well with our ERP, Connectwise and pulls the information back and forth well between the two.
  • QuoteWerks integrates with our Distributors, Ingram Micro and Tech Data and pulls current pricing into the quote, which saves time having to go back and forth between applications.
  • QuoteWerks provides professional looking quotes that we can submit to our customers.
  • QuoteWerks can be a little clunky at times, but overall is easy to use.
  • QuoteWerks could be a little more visibly attractive, but it gets the job completed.
  • QuoteWerks Has added a couple of features that I would rather not see there - a view of all of the open quotes for a customer just muddies up the screen and it asks you if you want to save a quote at the most inopportune times.
Quotewerks is great in an environment where you need to provide a professional looking quote to a customer and also if you need to integrate with Connectwise and get current pricing from your distributor at your fingertips. It may not be a good solution if you need to have engineers work on quotes with you.

Used by a department in quoting Products that we Rep for other Manufacturers, in the highway/construction business. It is easy to use. Take a little bit of time to set up your database, but once it is built it is easy to maintain yearly on pricing updates, etc.

  • Copy database files from one database to the other....It looses or duplicates the files
  • Building sets, items that make up "one" item. Doesn't flow as easy as we would like.
It works well with keeping track and maintaining the "cost" and markups of items. Easily brings up a quote in PDF mode, that can then be sent direcly via email to your customer.

We are a managed service provider and currently use QuoteWerks on a daily basis. QuoteWerks allows us to quickly and easily get custom quotes for products and services out to a myriad of clients without wasting precious work hours. QuoteWerks is able to pull real-time stock and pricing information from our connected vendors making it very easy to compare prices and availability.
  • QuoteWerks connects directly to our distributors so we are able to pull real-time stock availability and pricing. This saves a lot of time when ordering products.
  • QuoteWerks makes it very easy and convenient for us to add custom products and services that we offer to their database which saves us time when quoting the same services over and over again.
  • QuoteWerks make sending the actual quote to a client very simple. We simply connect in to our Outlook client automatically, send the quote, and the client is able to view, edit, or accept.
  • QuoteWerks does not use a SQL back-end database so sometimes it can run a little slowly.
  • QuoteWerks can be a little hard to navigate at first, but gets much easier over time.
If you have a business were you need to constantly get quotes for products and services to your clients, look no farther then QuoteWerks. QuoteWerks takes a process that could be very time consuming and scales it down to minutes.

We use QuoteWerks to manage quotes for new prospects and existing clients. QuoteWerks has a great search capability so I never lose sight of recently created quotes. QuoteWerks makes it very easy to generate more than one quote per account so the customer has documents they can use to compare options side by side.
  • Searching for previously created quotes
  • Setting up quote templates
  • Creating multiple quotes per organization in a way that isn't confusing.
  • I wish I could select my favorite line items to appear at the top of a list and make it fast to select those frequently used items.
This is a solid sales tool. It's a little confusing to figure out at first, but once you understand the capabilities there is a lot you can benefit from.

Quotewerks is our quoting tool, it feeds opportunity information into our CRM/ERP which is ConnectWise. It is used by anyone who creates or manages quotes. It solves the business problems of creating accurate quotes quickly, and managing the history of the quotes. Quotewerks uses templates that control the appearance of our quotes, creating a reliable standard that works for us and our customers.
  • Quotewerks manages conversions from foreign currency. This is key for us as we are in Canada and some of our manufactures/vendors have US dollar price lists.
  • Quotewerks keeps a database (flat file, really) price list. This allows us to maintain our own descriptions and simplifies quoting.
  • Quotewerks supports multiple formats for output, you can have different templates to show or hide information like part numbers, list prices, and so on.
  • Quotewerks offers several ways to distribute quotes internally or to customers. The program can send emails, or create an email in your email client, or save the quote to PDF, for example.
  • I wish they had a better spell checker, the one that is used is fairly cumbersome and has a rather limited dictionary. It would be great if you could spell check an entire document, rather than just one cell.
  • I wish double-clicking worked the way it does in most applications, for example double clicking on a word highlights the word, not opens up a drop-down list which is what happens with Quotewerks. Most apps follow Microsoft's lead on this, Quotewerks has not done this yet.
  • It would be great if there was a "quick save" option which would save a quote without going through three pop-up boxes. Once I have saved a quote the first time, I almost never need to change the settings in these boxes, yet I always have to wait for them to appear and click "OK".
  • The editor for creating quote templates feels very dated. It has been the same for 3 years, and it felt dated 3 years ago. Managing pagination is done through a rather cumbersome work-around process, for example.
It is the best of the tools I have used to create quotes for enterprise-class IT solutions. Much better than Netsuite, less error-prone than spreadsheets.

Our sales department utilizes QuoteWerks every day to create professional quotes for our customers. QuoteWerks has allowed us to decrease the time it takes to create quotes along with creating easy to understand quotes for the customer.
  • Easy to understand quotes.
  • Easy revisions during the quoting process.
  • Outstanding support.
  • Etilize greatly speeds up the quoting process with accurate vendor costs and product descriptions.
  • QuoteWerks has to be reloaded from time to time on our computers for no real reason, but other than that I cannot think of any other issues.
QuoteWerks is well suited for any business in need of quick professional quote creation that can benefit from automated product description and pricing population.
