RainKing is a sales intelligence solution that was acquired by DiscoverOrg. As such, RainKing data has been fully integrated into DiscoverOrg. The RainKing platform is being maintained for existing customers, but new customers are being added to DiscoverOrg. Current RainKing customers are being migrated to DiscoverOrg.

  • The product worked as advertised, and saved us data entry and research effort to get targeted companies into SFDC.
  • The termination language in the purchase contract was buried in a Terms and Conditions included by reference as a URL. Every customer should understand the termination provisions. Ours included (https://discoverorg.com/rainking-terms-conditions-2016/) language that DiscoverOrg mandates that we remove all contacts from our databases that we obtained during the term. People should understand that the information service is "licensed" and ownership of the information remains the property of DiscoverOrg. It is expensive and complicated to locate and remove contacts that were obtained through this product. If we had known this in advance, we would not have purchased the product. Other suppliers do not have this egregious termination obligation.

  • In general can help with more accurate targeting (competitors provide more accurate and granular department designations)
  • It can help with account penetration since it does provide the family tree and it is quite accurate
  • Alerts do help in understanding companies initiatives (however competitors do provide similar service)

  • I don't have that information readily available to quantify the positive impact. However, I will say that I've found a lot of good prospects via RainKing to target my outreach efforts to. I definitely feel like the product pays for itself.

  • This definitely provides faster lead conversion and prospect recognition. RK saves us all a TON of time because the data is all in one place and can easily be viewed and managed and uploaded to Salesforce.
  • Employee efficiency is a big one here - our employees only need to hit 2-3 buttons in order to mass upload accounts as leads in Salesforce and the "research" is simply there in RK without any additional action from the sales team.
