  • Visualizations are good.
  • Ease of connecting to the data warehouse.

SIGMA is an amazing tool. It has allowed us to consolidate data across multiple shipping locations to view sales, inventory, and product shorts. The tool is saving our sellers about 3 hours a day. Prior to Sigma, the sellers gathered the information from each location and consolidated the data to review. It is now consolidated for them.
  • Runs data extremely quickly.
  • Data sets are easy to manipulate.
  • Data is presented in an easy way to use to analyze.
  • Data is downloadable to Excel.
Cons
  • No recommended changes at this time.
SIGMA is extremely great at consolidating data over multiple areas and providing results at a granule level, For example, sales, inventory, and movement, all in one place. The data runs and updates in real-time, which makes it extremely powerful.

We use the report to review orders that are in our current system that are shipping next day, across the entire enterprise.
The reports allow our users to quickly see orders with product issues and figure out if there is an easy resolution.
  • Easy to make changes to the data sets
  • Data runs extremely quickly
  • Easy to teach to the user
Cons
  • download without showing the full report, make it one step, today it is 2
Summarizes data quickly. Our users can see all orders in the system for next day delivery very quickly. Once I have all the data, I can quickly identify items being shorted across the network. User can determine if the issues are related to one specific vendor or multiple very quickly.

Easy to use and powerful analysis/reporting tool!

I use Sigma to conduct data analysis via SQL and create data visualizations/dashboards for reporting and presentation purposes. Some business problems that I use Sigma to solve include viewing weekly trends, monitoring operational metrics, and further my understanding of our business and our customers.
  • Beginner Friendly
  • Visually Appealing
  • Powerful for Data
Cons
  • Sigma is quite slow compared to other data analysis/visualization software
  • Sigma is sometimes lacking in useful templates that you can plug and play
  • It is quite hard to manage the sharing and permissions for each dashboard
Sigma is great for all levels of users as it's intuitive to use and powerful queries and dashboards can be created and duplicated in a short time. Other softwares may be more suitable when creating advanced types of visualizations or graphics.

Sigma is a data analytic tool that is used in my whole organization, it helps those who are not proficient with SQL to analyze data easily.
  • Easy to create and join tables.
  • I can create a daily email to remind me if there's any new update on the analytics that are important for my business.
  • Very useful to create visualization or pivot table and refresh automatically.
Cons
  • It won't show when the table is updated.
  • No navigation on what tables are available in our company's database.
  • People can create all kinds of reporting but it becomes messy and hard to know which one is the right one to use or leverage.
If you need to join different tables and regularly require report to be updated, Sigma is a great place to go, once reporting is set up you can inform people who also need the information and send alert to them regularly, great for collaboration purposes also.
