Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing
Used for KPI dashboards, monthly/quarterly financial reporting, tracking data sets, and manipulating data. I have used Sigma to make dashboards interactive, creating input tables for different teams to adjust scenarios on the fly. I have also created many datasets in the background to improve the calculation and loading speeds of common Excel dashboards.
- Grouped aggregations
- Input tables
- Controlling level of access
- ETL processes
- Center justification of data
- Hiding input tables based on permissions
- Sending email updates when tickets are complete
- Improved time in KPI dashboard creation
- Improved reporting speed of data
- Improved customization of scenarios
It has helped users enter their own scenarios and thresholds on the fly to see different results. It has helped our teams have a more up-to-date financial analysis of the companies we are invested in. This allows quicker decision-making on investment performance. The team loves the input tables
This has helped me dig into my Snowflake data sets to identify problems in how our data has been pushed, or problems in our pipeline between table creation. We have data coming from many sources that is connected in Snowflake, and it is easier to comb through tables in Sigma rather than write a lot of queries in Snowflake to find answers.
Sigma has a better view of tables and it is much easier to create new data sets/aggregations. Tableau is better in some visual aspects because there is more customization available, albeit more confusing than Sigma to do. Sigma is very intuitive and did not take long to learn compared to the other mentioned systems.
