Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting (formerly Abila MIP)

MIP is being utilized by our accounting staff, finance staff, and the human resources and personnel folks.
  • MIP provides high level capability to handle payroll processing, manage bookkeeping, basic and advanced financial and accounting systems, and devise and revise budgets.
  • MIP facilitates tax documentation, helps prepare financial statements, processes journal entries, handles insurance coordination, inventory overview, and coordinates periodic audits.
  • MIP rates very high on all levels; however, update installations could perhaps be more streamlined.
  • MIP Fund Accounting has very good ROI, and meeting those objectives.
  • Negative impact is primarily related to complicated roll-outs of updates.
For our non-profit organization, MIP Fund Accounting is very helpful in managing diverse fund sources.
We've been using MIP Fund Accounting for approximately 20 years (definitely predates my joining the organization), and it has performed very well. To my limited historical knowledge, we have never had the need to look elsewhere to replace or supplement MIP.
MIP Fund Accounting is extremely well suited for payroll, budgeting and procurement. It might be less appropriate for new staff to master.
