They are equivalent - Adobe Acrobat might have a slight advantage in some areas, though the recent updates may make me go back to Foxit.

This was the original program to open and edit pdfs. Recent updates have only made the program worse in my opinion. Adobe Acrobat needs to seriously go back to the fundamentals and stop moving around the interface and calling it an update. Organizing pages and combining files into PDF is done well.. They have ruined commenting and editing files in my opinion. On top of it, the program is a memory hog and tends to slow most computers to a crawl when doing file comparisons I've found. File comparison has not changed in at least the 8 years I have been heavily using. It does pick up changes in two files, but the way they have chosen to display is cluttered and difficult to view and assess in my opinion. They would do well to allow more filtering of the changes so you can see only some changes at a time. Scrolling through pages in comparison view always is chunky and slows computer to a crawl making it a frustrating experience in my opinion. To give Adobe Acrobat the benefit of the doubt, I have yet to find a program that does this well. If I do, I will switch immediately. With AI tech - this would be a good place to start and improve the software and actually make it worth the high price.
