Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Learning Manager

ALM is currently used to administer our external licensing training. Licensees can enroll in one of three classes in any of 8 combinations. Licensees choose classes based on the needs for their intended license. Adobe Learning Manager has been useful to track students' progress in the program and once learned by the administrator, tracks the progress well.
  • Tracks learning time in each module.
  • Provides customizable reports.
  • Provides daily score reports (subscribable).
  • Can use CSVs for registration/enrollments.
  • I would like to see Q2 quiz scores searchable.
  • I would like Q2 quiz scores filterable.
  • I wish quiz scores for each instance would load all at once, I'd rather see lag than have to scroll endlessly.
  • I'm a government organization, so it has fulfilled my "business" objectives in that it does what it said.
  • It has fulfilled its promises.
While users that are familiar with LMS's have few issues with it, older users and those less experienced with alternate LMS's have been more challenged to set up accounts. Sometimes, the Adobe emails are blocked by spam and junk filters and so people have a hard time accessing their accounts without assistance.
I use Captivate to integrate into ALM and it does fine with that. I don’t like how Captivate is not always able to satisfy integration of other programs or platforms though.
In a lot of ways, ALM has a very different feel from other LMS's, and has more of an internal training feel than a class feel. I would definitely recommend this for skills and compliance training, it is less well suited to a classroom feel. For a licensing course, it has its challenges, for example, specific quiz scores are difficult to find.

ALM takes some intensive training to figure it out, so these are the only people who are allowed to interact with the ALM software. Any other people at my workplace would be completely lost in this program unless they were trained in managing the software.
Previous experience with LMS software helps. Specific training is nearly essential with this program.

The state has already purchased the software, so it’s really hard to change once it’s instated as the only option.
