Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Photoshop

I use Photoshop CC nearly every day to implement graphics for email newsletters, website graphics, branding mockups, social media posts, wireframing and templating websites and applications. I also lead community courses covering Photoshop, to an audience of primarily small-business owners. Photoshop's features save me an incredible amount of time, and I will be a user for life.
  • Wireframing and templating websites and mobile apps.
  • Photo retouching.
  • Photo manipulation.
  • Creating web graphics.
  • Working with text. Would be nice to see some advanced typography options.
  • Need more in-depth tutorials on 3D features.
  • Better organization of swatches.
  • Big time saver with actions and templates make it way easier to pump out graphics quickly
  • Subscription model makes updating software pretty much seamless
  • Integrates with other Adobe CC applications (Illustrator, InDesign, Brackets, Premiere, etc.) very well
  • Gimp
I am a professional designer, so I need reliable software and I need it to function properly. Photoshop does everything I need it to and has many shortcuts and timesaving actions and filters. I also work with a non-destructive workflow. Gimp and other free alternatives make it difficult to work non-destructively using masks and adjustment layers, Photoshop makes the non-destructive workflow a charm.
If you are only going to be doing light photo touchup, like cropping color changes, etc., there are free applications that may suit your needs better. But, if you are a serious graphic designer, marketer, or photographer, Adobe Photoshop CC is really the only way to go. Industry standard software that is now available at a very affordable price through CC's subscription based model.

Using Adobe Photoshop

4 - Various marketing funcitons
1 - I am the primary user of the application, but others use Photoshop for basic photo editing.
  • Web Graphics
  • Non-Destructive Photo Retouching
  • Non-Destructive Photo Manipulation
  • Creating GIFs
  • Templating web pages to work seamlessly with Brackets
  • Linking PSD files to several InDesign Docs, with the ability to control layers from within InDesign. This allows for less file creation and disk space conservation.
  • Motion graphics
  • 1-Click Photo Fix through use of actions
  • In-Use Templates for department-wide document creation
I cannot do my job without Photoshop CC.
