Overall Satisfaction with Adobe PhotoShop

Adobe Photoshop is used extensively in our creative and marketing departments. Any image processing required by our R&D department is also sent to the creative department for alterations or to fix aspecs like lighting and contrast. Lastly, it's used to convert between image formats for use throughout the organization, including our websites and online e-learning platform.
  • Deep etching of images for use online or in design
  • Exporting to different image formats
  • Bulk processing of images to change format or size
  • The image processor script can be a difficult to learn how to use
  • Exports to PNG format always end up with large file sizes and requires an additional external image processor to bring the size down
  • The UI can be confusing when you dock and undock images to the bar.
  • Image processing script
  • Ability to read and write to all image formats
  • Detailed editing of photos
  • Bulk image processing is quick and saves lots of time
  • An individual Photoshop license is expensive. It's more affordable to purchase a the master suite license
Adobe Illustrator is excellent for vector designs and illustrations and Adobe InDesign is excellent for layout work of printed materials like manuals. Adobe Photoshop is the go-to program for photo editing and the trio of programs work well together to cover most needs of a modern marketing and design department.

Yes

Did Adobe PhotoShop live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe PhotoShop go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe PhotoShop again?

Yes

Adobe Photoshop is great when you need to do detailed image editing and basic design works. There is nothing that comes close when editing photos for online or print use, but it's not a tool to do layouts or vector designs. Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator are better tools for those jobs respectfully.
