Apricot by Social Solutions packs a punch for organizations serving individuals, but is expensive for non-profits

Our organization serves children and families in a non-profit setting after the death of a loved one. We utilize Apricot Core to organize and store information on the families we serve, our volunteers, and our donors & community supporters. Before Apricot by Social Solutions, we lacked the ability to run efficient reports and provide data to our funding sources. We are able to utilize Apricot by Social Solutions to not only store information, but to translate it into outcomes that we can provide for donors and grant opportunities. There are limitations to the product in terms of utilizing it for family-based programming instead of individual-based programming, but we are mostly able to edit things to fit our needs (we just aren't able to use some of the extra features that we pay for because of the nature of our work and the limitations of some of the Apricot Core features).

Our organization uses Apricot by Social Solutions reporting to create a large presentation for our staff and funders at the end of each year to show numbers of clients served, service delivery timing, demographic information, training hours, and other impactful statistics and information. Apricot by Social Solutions makes it simple to report on exactly what we need, so that we can go to grants with exact numbers to show our impact.

I actually wouldn't say that Apricot by Social Solutions has helped us to secure more funding or more diversified funding streams. Because that kind of work is done outside of Apricot by Social Solutions, I can't contribute our funding to the program. We actually spend a lot of money on the Apricot by Social Solutions system each year and have to try and fundraise to cover the large cost of the program.
