Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR
BambooHR is used as the primary HR function for the company and takes in all aspects of the HR process from interviews and hirings to changes in employee profiles and job changes within the company. The scope of the use case is the entire company as a whole using the platform.
- Very user friendly and intuitive
- A large and diverse set of HR features
- Automated notifications for any changes made that need approval
- Customer Service is almost non-existent and difficult to use
- Searching for employee information can sometimes be cumbersome unless you have the exact search terms you need
- I'd like to be able to integrate the system with other applications I use and it has been difficult/near impossible to set these up
- Improved onboarding/hiring time from 2 months down to about 5 weeks total time
- HR efficiency increased as employees can use self-service feature rather than sending all requests to HR
- Supportive of Single Sign On (SSO) and decreased login times significantly
The reporting provided by BambooHR is not great, but luckily our data analytics team has been able to familiarize themselves with the data over the time we have had the software and are now able to provide the data that decision makers need. Once the data was familiarized witht he team we have been able to efficiently make decisions that were needed to be successful
I think that Workday is a much more robust and intuitive system, but the cost for many small businesses is a barrier to entry for them. BambooHR was selected because a member of our HR team was familiar with the system and was an absolute asset to us as we integrated the system. Without that institutional knowledge I think it would have been very difficult
