Overall Satisfaction with Blackthorn Payments

Blackthorn Payments is used in conjunction with Blackthorn Events. Blackthorn Payments allows monetary transactions to connect to our preferred credit card processing platform (Authorize.Net). The platform also allows for simple full and partial refunds when applicable. We have custom code that allows us to segment which cost centre the transactions will be placed into for reconciliation. The segmentation is placed on the event level.

As a university, reconciliation and transparency are important. All transactions in Blackthorn Payments are uniquely stored in Salesforce and allow full transparency for reconciliations in debits and credits via reports. However, refunding attendees is quite tedious especially when you have to go through multiple objects on each record to reach the transaction page: Attendee > Sales Document > Transactions.
