Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use BlueJeans for team meetings across the company, but mostly within the hardware/software engineering team that I lead.

Pros and Cons

Pros

very good video quality
maintains connections much more consistently than Google Hangouts, Slack, Skype
dial-in phone number and mobile apps make it convenient when users are mobile or don't have a great internet connection

Cons

UI can be confusing sometimes about who is/isn't talking or in the meeting

Return on Investment

My meetings are more efficient because we're not waiting for participants' connections to settle, and less time is wasted with connections dropping or freezing.

Alternatives Considered

BlueJeans handles network issues much better than its competitors. It seems to be much higher video & audio quality over the same network conditions as its competitors.

Once you have the BlueJeans app installed stuff is pretty seamless. It IS a little annoying that the app is needed. But users can also join via phone bridge which is one of the features I really like. I also like the standing meeting, so I can just tell my team "Drop in to BlueJeans so we can discuss this."

Likelihood to Recommend

It's been head-and-shoulders better in my experience than Google Hangouts. You get what you pay for. I have not tried it for large meetings (more than 15 people) so I can't speak to how well it works for that.
