Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
It is used as our system of record for employee data, WFM and payroll company wide.
- I think they listen to ideas submitted in the Aha portal as I have seen many come to fruition.
- They respond timely to support requests with actual solutions.
- My CRM is very thoughtful and diligent in keeping a close relationship and solving for our needs.
- Employee changes report every payroll. I have never been able get a report that showed just true changes to the record per pay period.
- Stop trying to sell me a block of hours.
- I actually still prefer the old MY HR layout where more employee data was displayed on a single page. Now I have to click in multiple areas to get a combo of data.
- Merged multiple payrolls from acquired companies onto one payroll eliminating the cost for the other payroll vendors services.
Federal and State tax withholding. Flexible fields to set up for final hour compliance orders for payroll and WFM, most recently from Covid-19. CA Meal break penalty. Entitlement balance enforcement. Workflows. I won't lie, there are some compliance issues like CA Reg Rate that have not been easy to implement and doesn't seem to be a standard for DF.
The one stop shop model has allowed us more time for hiring, scheduling, compensation, reporting, etc. New hires as well as HR practitioners find it easy to use. Assigning user security roles to define ones access and simply providing one link to access it all is a plus. We do prefer some of the old SL modules over HTML though.
There were many things I liked about Oracle. Specifically the flexibility with reporting. However, employee record management in Core HR and something as complex as Benefits Admin, setting up plans, updating rates, launching OE, I think I have had a better experience with Dayforce as it is easier to use and the UI is more user friendly.
