Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points
Cisco 3800 Series
We have about 1300 Cisco APs in use across our sites. They are providing network access to mobile devices, laptops, Wi-Fi phones and IoT devices. We are also looking to leverage the technology for asset tracking.
They provide good coverage, but improvements can be made in placement and configuration.
They provide good coverage, but improvements can be made in placement and configuration.
- Good signal strength
- Easy install
- Easy to order
- The Aires are very outdated GUI
- Would like better RF management in dense deployments
- They have given the required coverage
- Can be costly
- Don’t suit small sites unless in EWLC
The 9120 are easy with a 9800 controller. We have had a batch of 9130s that created some issues due to bug in flash meteorology size.
We have a sufficient MPLS network so not seen any advantage in this.
They are equal and Aruba seems to have an easier out the box setup. Adding APs is much simpler on Aruba.
