Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense

We route all of our Accounts Payable invoices through SAP Concur invoice so they can be approved by the employee who purchased the software. We export invoices from Concur invoice into our accounting system, NetSuite, and manually pay out of NetSuite. We do not have payments initiated from Concur invoice.
  • in my experience, poor Coding even with white glove service
  • in my opinion, outdated user interface (have to squint to see)
  • Poor Interface (circa 2000 style)
  • White Glove service to check OCR still fails to clean up OCR data
  • Downtime is a common problem at month end
  • We had Concur Expense and this was easy to add to Invoice, but it was because we didn't have time to vet a new solution.
The UX of Ramp is much better and allows employees to do approvals via email and on slack. In addition, the OCR is better and cleaner. Finally, it's easier to link up to the accounting system with the API integrations.

Honestly, I think the only reason companies still use it is because it's legacy and it's too much effort to change. However, in my opinion, there are so many better solutions out there and I encourage people who need an AP system to not rely on the reputation of SAP as I think that reputation was strong before many more AP processing players entered the market.

SAP Concur Attributes

More modern (gen Z) users are very confused by the interface and small fonts on the screen. Also, there is often downtime. Finally, if you pay for the white glove service to check the OCR, you will still have errors and delays in processing.

We implemented Concur Invoice as we needed a quick way to get approval on vendor invoices and we had the existing Concur Expense. We have sunset both products and are fully switching to a new platform.
